https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-x...m-arc-alchemist-gpu-might-cost-around-800-usd I have mixed feelings about this. The cheapest 6700xt/3070 here is 950eur and 6800s cost 1500eur upwards still,800 is just disgusting
Its sad that for a newcomer in the gpu space and probably driver issues ridden gpus cost 800$ and that is for a midrange card (if you look at the competition). If we lived in a normal world intel would be undercuting amd and nvidia so 400-450$.
I wouldnt blame them if they charged 800. They know that even if they priced it @ $450, scalpers and greedy retailers would mark it up to 800 in todays climate. So might as well pocket the scalpers fee for themselves.
Indeed. The graphics card market right now is so f**ked up that nothing needs to make sense. I would have been astounded to see Intel's cards with sensible prices next to Nvidia and AMD cards still boasting the lunatic prices. Of course if they mine well, like they should, it would be simply impossible for them to be affordable. If the drivers are good enough for miners, Intel has got nothing to worry about. The sales will be splendid.
Three cards are coming with forth one being rumored. 512eus = 6700xt/3070 384eus = 6600xt/3060 256eus = 6600/3050ti? 192eus = maybe finally a 200-250$ tier with no competition
shocking, people will buy it none the less it will sell out it get scapled for higher and then next year prices will be littler higher and scapled for more. even IF and WHEN the "shortage" ends prices will remain stupid
Looking back that was a good buy. I would have bought a 3090 for $1500 they day of release if I had known the future market conditions.
funny looking back i was flamed for it, but itll still last me a year or two yet. Hopefully the resale will be decent, i usually sell on when warranty ends. you feeling ok? must be woke.
