Intel Broadwell will be available in retail before Christmas

    I've read news that they plan to release those end of the year but only for All-In-One PCs,Notebooks,Tablets. Socket version 1Q/2015... any more infos on that?

    Broadwell-DT is still LGA1150 and meant for desktop.


    Also should be compatible with both Z87 & Z97, at least so one Intel CEO said back in September 2013.
    All it takes is Intel MEI firmware bios update.

    Broadwell is going to enable 2 types of devices, one you can plug the chip directly into existing systems (z87) and second we will have brand new systems (z97)..

    I'm hearing that Apple wants those in their new MacBooks by the holidays. So it might just be true after all.
