Hey Guys Just picked up a 2700k coming from an i7 930. My question is the hd3000 built in graphics. Do I install the 2 gen intel graphic driver for this on top of my video card driver? Or do I just leave it alone. Do I need to install this for the cpu graphics to handle stuff like physics better? I also have a z77 board with built in Hdmi for cpus with built in graphics. Can I use the Intel graphics for my tv and 7970 for my monitor? Thanks in advance I posted in the wrong section. Admin could you move me over to Intel section pls.
Yes, you can run both the intel 3000 and HD 7970 at the same time. As for intel drivers, i usually just install the .inf and if the video driver shows up as a generic driver in hardware manager then i look for the intel graphics driver. Otherwise i usually leave it alone. The CPU graphics will not do physics like, Nvidia's PhysX that is used in games. As far i know it never will, even if it did, it would be painfully slow.
