So I have played with this and get nowhere. It worked fine now it doesn't. What would make my paging file size drop? I have my virtual memory setup for the system to determine. I have tried manual configuration of 2046 startup and 4096 maximum. I need some Ideas here. I run 2 HD with paging files set up on both. I have tried letting one use the paging file and that didn't help either. The strange part is I run Norton System WOrks 2002 and it shows in one column my PFU unused is 4096 in another column it showes unsed is 0.0, which I found quite odd. So someone give me some help here.
Thanks

Mlodorous I'm assuming this is an NT/Win2k/XP system cos I've only seen this with both of these.
The virtual memory setup in Win2k is an incomplete science. Normally this error occurs when When you set the paging file (Pagefile.sys) on your computer to a size that is lower than the recommended size of 12 megabytes plus the amount of random access memory.
Yes sorry it is with XP. I have read the link you posted and trying some things off of it. I didn't have the initial set to 12MB plus my ram so that may have been my problem. Will post about the results.
