I’m running out of space on my 500g ssd. Bought a new 1tb ssd. I just reinstalled windows 10 a few weeks back so I didn’t want to do it all over again until the spring update. My question is, can I install games on the 1tb drive? Is there a drawback to doing that? Do I have to set the drive up a certain way? Thanks

    Yes

    No and no.

If they are steam games all you have to do is specify a new game folder location and thats it.

    I do it myself,

500GB SSD for OS and 2TB SSHD for Games only.

Only issue i currently have is my specific hard drive only i think, to do with spin up times during gaming causes a spike of 3-4 seconds but other than that no issues.

Thats power saving mode, windows shuts the HDD down when its not in use and then when you access the HDD it stutters or chugs for a few seconds. I think you're better off just letting it not shut down and idle, ramping up and down several times a day is worse than low idle behavior in my opinion.
