    ===============================
The number of Ray Tracing enabled PC breached the 40-mark

The number of raytracing enabled PC games has after the release of Deathloop (technology) test breached the 40-mark after recently been the Myst remake and the Enhanced update for Little Nightmares 2 published was.
More raytracing games will appear in the traditionally game-heavy fourth quarter and in early 2022. We have expanded the list of available and upcoming raytracing games on the PC accordingly - not only with the confirmed effects,
but also with the release dates. New information concerns, among other things, the just postponed title Battlefield 2042 and Dying Light 2 , the release dates ofCrysis Remastered 2 & 3 ,
the insider tip Industria and other titles. In the meantime, if you are interested in the graphics card performance in ray tracing, the ray tracing performance index is recommended to you .

Ray tracing, the virtual replica of light rays, is here to stay. Ray tracing has long been the gold standard in offline rendering, for example for animated cinema films, and the technology is also used in professional design to model as closely as possible to reality.
In games that rely on interaction and thus high frame rates and low latency, it failed for decades because of performance or the right ideas on how to combine ray tracing with rasterizing.

That is now over. With the collection of interfaces DirectX 12 , more precisely with its sub-item DirectX Raytracing (DXR), a standard was decided three years ago to get things rolling.
Nvidia was the first manufacturer of graphics hardware and software, and Geforce RTX 20 graphics cards (Turing) with ray tracing arithmetic units have been available since autumn 2018.
The successor generation Geforce RTX 30 (Ampere) is specifically developing the basis and AMD has also been on board since the end of 2020 with the Radeon graphics cards of the RX-6000 series (RDNA 2).
So the hardware is there - and what do we like to do with it? To play!

    Note:
I also found new tweak regarding FG Mod for better Latency/Less lag
and it's good for better 0.1% and 5% lows.

Set 140FPS or similar high for base FG lane, then in game (RTSS also good) set FPS Cap to Your liking like 75 or 90FPS
Boom! still responsive but less GPU is needed for work + it's still very fast.

Tested in WitchFire & Immortals, no more Joypad like lag ;)

Cyberpunk 2077 Version 1.31 Looks Incredible With Beyond All Limits Ray Tracing, DLSS 2.2 and Over 50 Mods in New Video

A new modding showcase video put together by Digital Dreams shows how amazing the latest version of the game developed by CD Projekt Red can look with the
Beyond All Limits Ray Tracing preset, the game's native ray tracing features, and NVIDIA DLSS 2.2.
You can check out the video below:

Cyberpunk 2077 got updated to version 1.31 last week. The new version features more gameplay, quests, and open-world fixes as well as visual improvements and GPU memory optimization on PlayStation consoles.

    Visual

    • Fixed an issue where roads after rain did not look wet, which was the result of ongoing work on the Wet Surfaces System. In 1.31 wet surfaces should look more detailed than they did even before the issue occurred.
    • Removed hair and/or eyebrows in cases where they were set to "off" in earlier game versions.
    • Fixed an issue where shooting with a Tech weapon caused a momentary blinding light.
    • With a Little Help from My Friends — fixed an issue where Carol was missing her tablet or sitting in the air during a scene.

Is the New Old Already? Far Cry 6 Raytracing Exclusive to PC Version, PS5 and Xbox Series Left Out

"Ray tracing is a PC-only feature," Stephanie Brenham said. "On console, our objective has been to take advantage of new hardware capabilities, optimizing performance targeting 4K and achieving 60 FPS."

This does somewhat fall in the face of performance expectations set by both Sony and Microsoft; both companies made (and still make) extensive use of ray tracing support on the marketing campaigns for their consoles.
However, as we've seen in the past, enabling ray tracing comes with severe performance penalties in even the latest and greatest PC hardware (sometimes not to best effect, even),
which still outclasses even the latest consoles' powerful innards (compared to their predecessors, of course).

Don't know if it's the right place, but nVidia posted a couple of new DLSS methods and invites us to test them and give feedbacks.

I personally tested the "white collie 2" method on CP2077 (preset Quality) and it gives pretty good results, but also not that different from the version 2.2.18 I was using, upon which also this beta version is based. :)

NVIDIA Invites Developers To Test Experimental DLSS Models Directly From Company’s Supercomputer

NVIDIA recently began inviting developers to test the newest build for DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and submit their experiences and findings to the developer forum on NVIDIA's site.
NVIDIA DLSS is "a deep learning neural network that boosts frame rates and generates beautiful, sharp images for your games. It gives you the performance headroom to maximize ray tracing settings and increase output resolution.
DLSS is powered by dedicated AI processors on RTX GPUs called Tensor Cores."

NVIDIA is enabling developers to explore and evaluate experimental AI models for Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). Developers can download experimental Dynamic-link libraries (DLLs),
test how the latest DLSS research enhances their games, and provide feedback for future improvements.

Powered by dedicated AI processors on NVIDIA RTX GPUs called Tensor Cores, NVIDIA DLSS technology has already been adopted and implemented in over 100 games and applications.
These include gaming franchises such as Cyberpunk, Call of Duty, DOOM, Fortnite, LEGO, Minecraft, Rainbow Six, and Red Dead Redemption, with support coming soon for Battlefield 2042.

What is interesting about the process is they are allowing developers to train and test using NVIDIA's supercomputer.
Through this utilization, they are hoping to continue to improve visual quality on more games and applications.

One of the key advantages of a deep learning approach to super sampling is that the AI model can continuously improve through ongoing training on NVIDIA’s supercomputer.

We are inviting the developer community to test the latest experimental DLSS models straight off the supercomputer, and provide us with your feedback.
Your early input is important to helping us push the state of the art in AI graphics technology.

The true Nvidia RTX legacy isn't ray tracing, it's DLSS

It's been 3 years since the first Nvidia RTX cards launched, but the legacy of DLSS has had far more impact on our gaming experience than ray tracing.

Graphics reinvented. That's how Nvidia introduced its first RTX graphics cards back in 2018, cards that first went on sale three years ago this week, in fact.
And a lot has happened in the intervening time, but do the promises of that new era of Nvidia GPUs still hold up, and what's changed since then?

Three years is a long time in PC hardware, but somehow it still feels as though the launch of the first RTX series of Nvidia graphics cards is a recent phenomenon.
Yet the RTX 30-series has been with us—often in spirit more than in any physically real form—for a full year now. It was the inaugural RTX 20-series, however, which introduced us to the promise of a whole new era of PC gaming GPUs.

And that promise? In a phrase, it all seemed to be about ray tracing, at least that was the piece of the puzzle that felt most tangible when it was first introduced to us jobbing tech journos in an old beer factory in Cologne, Germany.
Ray tracing was one of the first things on display that separated the Turing architecture from the older Pascal design.

The little green 'RTX On' badge has been used on screenshots ever since as a symbol of graphical greatness. But, almost buried in the same presentation,
after highlighting the still as yet unproven potential of mesh and variable rate shading, we saw the first faltering steps of DLSS. The true gift for PC gamers born of the advanced RTX graphics silicon.

Three years on and it's safe to say that ray tracing hasn't gone away. In fact it's everywhere, in practically every gaming platform apart from certain handhelds.
Despite the negative Nelsons out there decrying the computationally expensive nature of real-time ray tracing, it has been adopted across the board.

It's just not necessarily as transformative a feature as it might have first appeared. I mean, it is just simulated lighting after all.
Nor has it always been used to the greatest effect either.

Yet launching over a year later, both Sony and Microsoft's next-gen consoles decided they had to have ray tracing as an element on their respective specs sheets.
And how well that must have gone down with its AMD hardware partner. As such AMD's RDNA 2 GPU architecture—the graphical heart of the latest console generation—now has its own implementation of ray tracing,
which is supportive of the same Microsoft DirectX Raytracing API that Nvidia's RT tech accelerates.

Wouldn't this thread be better suited in the Nvidia video card section? or general hardware section?

This subforum "Games, Gaming & Game-demos" is for exactly that.. and information relating to specific video games would be contained in threads for those specific video games.

This thread is all over the place and is not about any specific Video Game, and from what I can see is more focused on Nvidia hardware., making this a hardware related thread, not a "video game" thread.
