Skull&Bones includes all three upscalers: XeSS, DLSS, FSR

    Now that's interesting

Great. If only there was some arc gpus to test xess. :D

GPU with DP4a can run XeSS too, would be funny that high end RDNA2/Ampere can execute XeSS faster than ARC (since they are much quicker in general)

Indeed. Intel still has the time to release atleast a750 before modern warfare 2.

ARC's aren't using DP4a though, that's the XeSS fall back path for compatibility. The ARC's are will accelerate XeSS using there own dedicated acceleration cores through Intel's "Xe Matrix Extension" or XMX cores designed for, as the name implies, Matrix Multiplication math.

That's what I meant, even with compatibility mode, RDNA2/Ampere are just so much faster that they can execute XeSS faster overall
For example 6800XT running FSR2.0 vs 6500XT running FSR1.0, even with higher overhead, 6800XT can execute FSR2.0 faster

Though Intel have said that neural network used with DP4a fallback would be less complex, so quality will be worse vs. Arc cards. Question is by how much.

So what is the requirement of XeSS really?

DP4a or Shader Model 6.4 support? SM6.4 is supported by nearly all GPUs, but some GPUs like the 5700XT do not support DP4a.

At least Petersen mentioned DP4a, seemingly as the sole requirement.

    Gotham Knights RT

During its Ray Tracing Technology Deep Dive video, Intel confirmed that Gotham Knights will have ray tracing effects on PC.
According to Tom Petersen, PC gamers can expect enhanced reflections and soft shadows.Furthermore, Gotham Knights will support Intel’s AI-upscaling tech, XeSS.

However, there is no word yet on whether the game will also support NVIDIA’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR 2.0.

    The Callisto Protocol

It appears that some new details have emerged for the Ray Tracing features that The Callisto Protocol will support.
According to two interviews, the game will have ray-traced shadows and ray-traced reflections.

In an interview with IGN, Mark James, the Chief Technical Officer of Striking Distance Studios, revealed that the game will have hybrid ray-traced shadows.
In other words, Striking Distance Studios will be using Ray Tracing in order to enhance the shadows of specific areas.

Then, in an interview with Techradar, James claimed that the game will have ray-traced reflections. In fact, the dev team will be using ray-traced reflections even for the eyeballs of characters.

Thus, we can assume that the game will feature both Ray Tracing Shadows and Ray Tracing Reflections on PC.
Theoretically, the game will also support an AI-upscaling technique like AMD’s FSR 2.0 or NVIDIA’s DLSS.

Lastly, The Callisto Protocol will be using Unreal Engine 4, and not Unreal Engine 5.

Nice. Calisto Protocol will really benefit from both rt reflections and shadows. Is dlss confirmed or game only supports fsr2.0?

    https://www.tweaktown.com/news/8835...ng-sample-leaks-shows-dlss-version/index.html

The team has added a new "DLSS" section in the Advanced Tab of GPU-Z that locates all of the installed games on your system that support NVIDIA DLSS technology and tells you which version of DLSS they're using. That's a super-awesome little addition to an already daily piece of software for many people, myself included.

AMD FSR 2.1 now available for Farming Simulator 22

AMD announces an improved version of its temporal upscaling technology.

Earlier this week, Farming Simulator 22 received a 1.7.1 patch that deploys a new version of AMD FSR2.
AMD update to FSR increases image quality, but also reduces artifacts such as shimmering and ghosting, the most common issues associated with temporal upscaling techniques.
