Crypto mining is a bigger problem and eventually our gov will need to remove their head from their ***. I'm all for free market but crypto mining is the stupidest idea mankind ever had. I have nothing against crypto currency but they'll need to find a better way to allocate it and more importantly a way that will make it sustainable as a currency. Right now crypto currencies are not currencies they are speculative investment akin to tulips.

With so many SKU's on hand, I'm thinking the RTX 3080 10 GB will be discontinued in favor of the refreshed and considerably more expensive RTX 3080 12 GB.

If Ethereum doesn't do it's proof of stake thingy next year, then we won't be getting GPUs for less than 3x MSRP on ebay. Ethereum is holding the entire PC gaming industry hostage, lol.
When the 4000 series drops, they will go even crazier for those cards. They will pay 4x MSRP or more I bet because they will be faster. A new gen of GPUs will only make things worse for gamers, not better.

Bear in mind that the semi-conductor shortages affect several industries, not just GPUs. Automobiles are hit just as bad as GPUs. So even if Eth does proof of stake, that might not be the end of our problems. It might alleviate things somewhat but we'll still not be out of the woods in terms of easy GPU availability.

Nvidia realized the competitors have 16gb onboard both intel and amd while they are still at 8-10gb.

Tough luck ampere owners time buy a same sku with different ram configuration. :p

Nah, don't you remember? 8 gigs is plenty enough. They analise the market all the time. :D

When UE5 games pop 8 gig will trail even at 1080p. But no problem you can always set textures to medium. :)

Strangely Mazda offered me a deal for a new car 2 times this year. The 2 times i went for my oil change they offered me to buy my card and sell me a new one. There's plenty of cars to buy and they are pretty much msrp and for sure they really WANT to sell me one asap and the car is available like NOW.

Its Mazda that's why. Small manufacturer, they weren't hit as bad, not even close.
They didn't even cut on the systems like others ( ford opel renault being the worst ).

It doesnt mean there are no more cars to sell anywhere, but that the industry as a whole has been hit hard. Some car makers in US. and Europe have shut down plants due to this.

I would buy that 3070ti with 16gb, it all depends how greedy they will be..

It would be fair to get for maaax 650-700e.. i mean 3070 by rls was 500-600e. Now what 1000e lmao and all in stock, what kind of shop scalping bs is that?

    8gb ram,not vram.
ram is system memory, vram is gpu memory.

for gpu side, 2070s/5700xt are recommended,1060 6g is minimum
