    A up lads.

Erm'. I would like to be able to enhance and up scale old digital and scanned analogue photos.
For the 20 series cards Nvidia talked up there AI upscaling and the low res images looked great after being processed.
Is there anything out there that can upscale and enhance low res photos, NVidia style preferably free.

Gimme a hard copy, right just there?

You can try waifu2x which is free. But it's difficult to use (I think it's Linux-only and requires nvidia CUDA.) But there seem to be a few online sites where you can upscale, like this one:

    http://waifu2x.udp.jp

Not sure how well it works. It seems it's good for cartoon/anime, but not sure how it does with normal photos.

waifu2x has a GUI for Windows that is easy as pie to use.
Though, you need to compile it with AutoHK.

    Original

    vs
    waifu2x

    Topaz is wonderful.
Here is a sample with a video I did.

Though, Waifu is more for ANIME, so, be warned.

How do you do videos with Topaz? You unpack it frame by frame to bunch of images and then combined back?

    Exactly that.
I open all the images in Topaz then I use VEGAS so I can import an image sequence.
