Hey all just a have quick question and concern I recently upgraded my i7 950 to a new i5 setup and gave my old but still good rig to my younger brother anyways to the question.

Right before I bought new setup I overclocked the 950 to 4.2ghz 1.368v and wanted to know if the lifespan after already being used for 2 years would last maybe another 2 years or so. And also when I was oc'ing it I accidentally when playing the offset voltage booted it with 1.5v for like 30 seconds to the desktop the set it back real fast no noticeable damage or anything just concerned thanks for the help.!!!

1.5 volts wont hurt it if there is no load to the cpu, its fine.

    :funny:

Pretty much true. Motherboards are more likely to die from overvolting than a CPU.
