    Hello,

I'm trying to optimize BFV settings because sometimes I experiment stutterings while playing.

Here is the detailed of my configuration : My Gaming Rig

    Tldr: I7 7700k / GTX 1080 TI / 16GB RAM / NVMe SSD

    My screen is a MSI G27C2 144hz.
I'm running G-Sync compatibility mode with my FreeSync option (game refresh rate fixed to monitor). I'm playing with a 1920x1080p resolution. Playing fullscreen (Windowed just to make screenshots)

    My in-game settings :

    Video - Basic
    Video - Performance
    Video - Quality

I'm running smooth between 110 & 144 fps BUT sometimes, when there is a lot of explosions, the game stutters...

I've tried the solution on this post but It keeps stuttering ... https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/p...-individual-games-eg-metro-exodus-bf5.425353/

Thanks for everyone who have been reading this.

Do your cpu usage goes 100% on all 8threads when stuttering happens?

My CPU usage is between 80 and 100% while playing, If I cap FPS to 60 it decreases by 50%.

I have RivaTuner & Afterburner and I can monitor whatever you need

Just checked, all threads at 100% during stuttering
With DX11, my CPU is running 100% usage everytime

I've tried monitoring during the game ; i got spikes of frametime which happens during stuttering.

Which seems strange is that bot CPU & GPU are used but no FPS drops

BF5 is one of those games that can use 8Threads+. When cpu is maxed out stuttering occurs. Im sure if you had 12threads like 8700k that wont be the case.

So bad that the Z270 chipset of my Mobo isn't compatible...
Seems to be a BIOS restriction.

What can I do to decrease CPU usage and stuttering ?

Nothing you can do. Increasing the clock speed wont help.

Wait for Ryzen 3xxx then upgrade, most of us will do the same. ;)

    Rizen won't even fit on a Z270 chipset ...

Perform and clean boot and run ISLC in the backround. You'll get no stutters after this.

Well not sure if it helps, but unless you need them, not running HDMI with speakers on it, get rid of Nvidia's high definition audio drivers. Read that they might introduce latency / lags at times. If that doesn't help you can just install them again under any circumstance.
