    Hello,

I am currently working on upgrading an old pc for a family member and i have trouble deciding with what cpu i want to go with. It is going to be an everyday use pc meaning no gaming at all apart from maybe some browser games.I have done budget builds before and they wanted to do some light gaming with the pcs so i went for amd apus but now i think that the i3 will be better. Any opinions on how the cpu performs in everyday use without a gpu?

    Thank you.

    what's your budget?
the latest i3 have much better IPC than any AMD APU out there.
So, if can afford the i3, go for it, great CPU.
If budget is very tight, APU is the winner.

the budget is not that tight since i will use some components from the old pc. 50 more or 50 less wont be an issue. Overall i need to buy cpu, mobo, ssd and ram for around 400 euros. So you think the hd graphics will handle everyday use with ease?

Yes, the IGP is more than capable to do everyday tasks, stick with intel
