Like is it bottlenecking the gpu ? the rig i am using atm ? i did not OC my cpu its all stock @ 3.7 with turbo.
Input and feedback from u guys should help me out. I was planning to go to a 9900k paired with a Z390 motherbord but i am not sure if its worth it to do so.

And no i am not going AMD side to many software related problems, and i never tend to overclock anything
maybe only ram with xmp but thats it

For the record i am playing all my games on 1440p and ultra settings.
Worth it to buy the rtx 2080 ti or wait a few more months ? and is my system enough for it power wise to not get any bottlenecks ?

Wait, get a 3080TI for the same amount of money. But yeah, like @sverek said, your issue is the GPU. Even a CPU OC only improves min. frames. I'm currently running 5930K @4.5 and so far, 1440p works well imho.

It's almost stupid how much GPU resources ULTRA settings cost. See reviews for yourself. Unless you are willing to customize your video settings, it will be GPU cap in most cases.

Once you try to reach 144FPS to match your 144hz panel and GPU is idling, then you might want to consider a new CPU.

I had that same motherboard. They can overclock your 5930k nicely. If I were you, I would overclock your 5930k to (about) 4.4Ghz or more if your CPU will do it (it should reach 4.4Ghz AT LEAST) with that motherboard. Also update your RAM to some DD4 3200Mhz sticks and then your RTX 2080Ti shouldn't be bottlenecked at all. I'm still running my 5960x on that same board and I have the MSI RTX 2080TI Gaming X TRIO and its speedy as hell. It might not get you as many frames per second as a Core i7 8th or 9th gen but those Haswell-E chips are still pretty quick beasts when pushed.

Yes, but the OP is worried his CPU may be a bottleneck for the 2080ti.
