Guys, my car broke all the sudden and the gearbox is dead. Replacement parts will arrive in 1 week.
Trouble is I need to commute a few km between two small urban locations.
I thought that an electric scooter will solve my problem today, and will lower my gas bill in the long run.
What about this one: Xiaomi M365 ?
What I should know about electric scooter?

Bicycle? Scooters are a health hazard.

Well, care to elaborate? Don't want to spend money just to find out that was the wrong choice.

Bus or train? I wouldn't ride a bike or scooter in a city if it's not safe to "share" the roads with motor vehicles.

There is no direct bus or other kind of public transportation.

If there wouldnt be a guru urgently seeking advise / help I would laugh at the comments.

"Can you recommend me a good e-scooter to get to work?"
    - "Why dont you use train or bus?"
    - "E-scooters are unsafe!"
    - "Take a bike!"

Sadly, I dont know any e-scooters because I never had one. But I play with the thought of getting one, too. My work place is about 5 to 10 km one way (about 3 to 7 miles), so why not?

So far I found out e-scooters differ A LOT on "max range possible" and how long it takes to fully charge the battery.

After I filtered my preferred search engine I found this:
    https://skinflint.co.uk/iconbit-kick-ff-electric-scooter-sd-0020k-a1673264.html
    - Reasonable "fast" (20km/h, there are some 5km/h models ... slower than walking!)
    - Needs only 2.5 to 3 hours charging until full
    - Range up to 25km total
    - Foldable (to take it into my office)
    - About 270 Euros in Germany

The Xiaomi M365 has good (user) reviews here in Germany, 4 out of 5 stars. But there is a SAFETY WARNING linked:

Seems like a screw can come loose while driving ....

    Just fyi! ;)

My guess is he meant that it's easy to fall and your knees and hands will take a beating since there isn't any shock dampening on the tires (they are pretty much solid afaik).

I've also heard good things about the M365, a friend got three and says he's super happy about them. I'd take the Pro version if you plan on using it often.

My frozen shoulder postpones the acquisition.
I'm almost unable to drive a car, less to ride an e-scooter.
And by the time I'll recover from this ordeal, my second car should be fixed.
Thanks guys for your time and contribution.
