I have a dell slim studios,i need to upgrade my power supply

    one last option is to just get yourself a new case. While this will cost a bit more (not too much depending on teh case) it has several big advantages:

    1) Now you can buy any ATX (standard size) power supply you want and get more power/better quality for less money.

    2) Now you can also fit any video card you want (although case selection will play a big role here, but most cases will fit all of the popular cards - certainly everything we've mentioned here)

    3) Now that you have a case and power supply you own the two components most likely to be kept when you upgrade your computer and won't need to be bought again. Pick up a new motherboard/CPU/RAM combo, drop them into your case and you've pretty much got a whole new computer - and one without all of the restrictions you get with an HP (or any other OEM) PC.
