Sweet card man, congrats! :dave:
finnaly it did worked out here to
10267 3d mark points.
436/1175 and unlocked to 16 pipelines :dave:
got 6042 marks w gt @ 435/1.15....how do ya upload pics?
Which 3dmark? 01, 03, 05 ?
looking at his system, id say 03
harrypotterhead, go to http://imageshack.us/
you can upload it there, when thats done, you come in a window shere you can copy the link.
Those are really low scores for fully unlocked card @ those clock speeds.
Really ? what do others think of it then when i didnt unlocked the 4 pipes i had a score of around the 8000 so i think i did helped pretty damn much. It was 3d mark 03 ye gonna test 05 soon. Could it be my psu because that one is 350 or 300 watt at the box from nvidia is standing you almost need a 450 W PSU as you can see ive got the GS but my rivatuner and coolbits are saying GT but its surely a GS lol wierd stuf though uke2:
thats normal, most drivers dont recognize the gs agp correctly.
im not sure if those scores are normal, dont know a lot about 03, if you test 05 i can get a better idea about the score.
Here it is my score of : 3dmark05
is it any good ?
extreme noob here - be gentle
I have the 6800GS AGP and all seems ok. The clocks go to 420/1100 and i get 5226/11559 in 3d mark on my xp mobile barton @2400Mhz/200fsb I tried the pipe/vertex unlock but got artifacts. The 6800 idle temp is 46 degs rising to about 55. This is with 82.12 drivers (which still shows 6800GT in properties). My games (Q4, Far cry - yep still play it, COD2) all run nicely, not a technical term but i am not too clever at benches. I've upgraded (i hope ATI ppl agree) from a 9800 pro 128meg for about £195 (UK) inc pp. Should keep me going a few more months.
Using the stock cooling
its a little low
funkeh, that score is a bit low, are you sure you had aa and af turned to application controlled?
newhit, that is spot on for a 12 piper at those speeds. nice temps too.
and welcome to guru3d, never mind not using technical terms, we understand what you mean
look beneath this post has gone wrong forgot to edit it.
i just installed it and hit the run 3d mark button
i dont really get what i need to change, sorry im pretty new with all this stuff hehe
go to the driver control panel, you can force aa and af there, check if they are on application-controlled.
found it lets see now yup all on application-controlled
ive just seen my PSU is a 300 watt one so i dont think the videocard will get the full power to run. I will be getting the Enermax liberty 620 watt next week.
Does it really need 450w psu?
Looking back at the xgx 6800gs box, it does says it needs a 450w psu. Does it really affect the card performance if it doesn't get that as much juice as it want?
Odd isn't it? For the 6800gt it only needs 350w psu. While on stock spec, the GS is lower than a GT but it needs a 450w.
If everything runs fine, the power isn't usually the issue. Mostly games will freeze and the system will be unstable if there isn't enough power to run at the selected speeds. Also, overclocking is seriously hampered without sufficient power.
That does appear to be a bit low for your system especially as you have the card unlocked and overclocked. I would have though from your specs you should be breaking into the 5k mark easily.
One thing to make sure you have disabled before benchmarking is Vsync. If this is on it can drop you score heavily.
I agree with you Xaser04, I to would have expected much more from it. My 6800NU O/C'ed to 375/875 (12, 6) scored around 4400 in 3D Mark'05 a few months back. Waiting for the 7800GS now.......
