Hurricane Ida strengthened into a "dangerous" major Category 4 hurricane in the predawn hours of Sunday with maximum sustained winds of 130 mph. It is expected to make landfall in Louisiana by Sunday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center said. y'all stay safe...this thing is Big!
Man my heart goes out to the affected states. So many people evacuated. It was all over the news. The damage is catastrophic. We are still recovering here in Michigan from the major flooding. What Louisiana and Mississippi are going through is much worse. Prayers are up definitely. I wish we could comfortably relocate people into safer areas and build fresh new advanced cities with all the amenities. Beautiful Homes, Schools, Jobs, Churches, Hospitals, Parks, Social Hangouts, whatever is needed and tons of resources for peace of mind if the people wanted.
I can understand some of those wood-made houses get blown down but when brick ones and big trees like that go down, damn, that's crazy.
Looks massive! Good luck to all the Gurus living in and near the area, hope you get bypassed by it. Bless.
I hate updating a thread like this but this storm just won't stop! it has moved through the USA from the Gulf of Mexico and now exiting the northeast!... Wow Hurricane Ida struck Louisiana as the fifth-strongest storm to ever hit the U.S. mainland, leaving 1 million people without power – potentially for weeks. Believe it or not the damn thing is still active after crossing the United States (south to north).... It actually started somewhere around the equator .....Wow.
Wow, that's just caos. Very sad for the loss of lives. Some peoples will never recover from this. I do hope the majority had some kind of insurance.
