I'm starting a massive driver roundup that should be ready by the end of this weekend because I'm sick of people always yelling for benchmarks. I will update it whenever new drivers become available. I will be comparing 15 of the newest and/or most popular 7x.xx series drivers in 3DMark05, Doom3, CS:S VST, Half-Life 2, and UT2004... and Battlefield 2 for 77.30, 77.50, 77.62, and 77.72.

UPDATE 1: I took Far Cry out of the line up because I was having some issues with it, but added UT2004 and some custom Half-Life 2 timedemos. Besides that, everything is coming along nicely so far. I have thoroughly benchmarked 6 drivers so far in the games listed above. I also added 77.72 to the list and replaced 76.45 with 76.44 by request. Also by the request of several people, I will not be including benchmarks for drivers that have the temp bug, as people probably wouldn't use them even if they posted good numbers.

Here's a list of the drivers I will use.
71.20 (If I don't get the temp bug)
71.81 (If I don't get the temp bug)
71.84 (If I don't get the temp bug)
    71.89
    72.12
    72.13
    72.14
    75.90
    76.10
    76.44
    77.13
    77.30
    77.50
    77.62
    77.72

Let me know if you think I should leave any of these out or if there's any popular ones I missed. You can see my system specs at the right. I will bench all games at 1280x960 or 1280x1024 with maximum details, 2x AA, and 8x AF.

Some of the 71.xx drivers have the 'temp bug' and only 77.30 and up work properly with BF2(shadow bug), somethin' to think about in regard to thier popularity.

    gl :)

Good going, I look forward to the results! And like Mr. Badass said: could you include 76.44?

Do only 6800GTs have the temp bug or do Ultras also have it? If only 6800GTs have it then the people with Ultras may still be interested in some 71.xx numbers.

In that case I will still install the drivers but the first thing I will do is see if it has the bug and if it does I'll remove it from the list.
