We hardly cover smartphone news, but this zoom feature is certainly is impressive. Huawei announced the latest flagship smartphone "HUAWEI " including "HUAWEI P50 Pro" equip... HUAWEI P50 Pro supports up to 200x zoom
I'm afraid that the zoom values will look like ones on portable video cameras in the past with 500x digital zoom and no optics
It is already well-known that Google will dominate this year. That's a humble attempt from Huawei, but still, not enough.
You mean becouse of this? https://goriber.tech/google-pixel-will-have-amd-rdna-2-gpu-fastest-wireless-charging/
I didn't know this detail. But generally Pixels were the best all-rounders. Now they go for true premium phones for the first time after years. Pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro will have the best cameras on their categories. Pixel 7 lineup will be the best overall. They are going full Apple domination like.
Yup just like samsung they announced their phones in the future will use rdna2 graphics, fun times ahead.
DXOMark does extensive camera testing on smartphones. Google isnt even in top ten anymore. https://www.dxomark.com/rankings/
That's strong false info. Google has mid-range phones some time now. Old-sensors. They are superior to any phone. Show me other phones with same old sensors and their position in DXOmark. Google is top on the list of their sensors range. New pixels will be truly high-end, with new sensors.
superior products do not equal domination. google makes a damn fine phone, but they do not sell as many as LG, HTC, or Samsung. the only company that dominates android is Samsung. i was going to buy google but before i did LG went and separated themselves from the market for superior audio. as much as i love photography, i'm an audiophile. the LG is categorically superior to all phones for audio as they contain 2 dacs in dual differentiation. i've spent (over time) well over 50k on audio equipment. the ONLY comparable separate dacs either run on battery (Chord) or have a robust power supply and cost a minimum of $500. the only superior dacs cost well over $700 and yet LG sells as many phones in total as one model of Samsung.
Dude, technology is advancing every day. You simply cant take what was once a great phone and position it as best forevermore. DXOMark thoroughly tests and reviews all cameras and any devices with cameras. I will take whatever they say over any random forum poster who is not capable of testing all devices with cameras with the same in-depth thorough testing that DXOMark has. It just defies logic. https://www.dxomark.com/huawei-p50-pro-camera-review-outstanding-in-all-areas/ https://www.dxomark.com/google-pixel-5-camera-review-software-power/ Do you have any references or alternate camera test sites to suggest otherwise besides anonymous user opinions?
lol Korean multinationals have an entire vertical network of companies that would be illegal in the US or EU. LG has massive market penetration from more than white goods and consumer electronics. and as far as phones they sell more than Google or HTC it would be like Monty Python... "i'm not dead yet!"
Wait pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro to see what happens. There is no aged better camera phone than pixel with those old sensors. As I said already these comparisons are not quite correct. They compare what you can buy right now. OK. We know. New tech beats older one. But at least you know that you bought the best of its class. Google pixel camera is the titan gpu of each generation. Old but gold.
@itpro buying a phone for its camera? i rather spend half on a decent camera, and save getting phones without it. and if you dont want to carry your cam around, you clearly dont care much about quality (image). once they a phone with 4/5 axis OIS on the cam, i might be interested.
