    Hi,

I've just noticed the above error but not sure how to solve it.
I've only just noticed it but need to be enable this in BIOS, but as there is a resource conflict, the option isn't there.
Would appreciate any advice on this.

Ok too much info and not enough ,might need a bit more info .you want to enable hpet in bios .that should be there . acpi is auto detected if enabled in registry (regedit)

I re-formatted and re-installed Windows due to a number of other issues I had.
This seems to have solved it as there is no longer a resource conflict, but I cannot see the option still in the bios.
On another question, if I install a secondary graphics card in the PCI-E 3.0 slot 2 not in SLI mode but for Physx, will both slots still kick down to 8x?

Beats me ! On inexpensive motherboard you rarely see 16 x on both slot. Check manufacturer)
