Hi, I am using new Crimson settings, how to unlock OverDrive option ?
Gaming -> Global OverDrive (Accept)...
Don't have this option.
Gaming>Global Profile>Global Overdrive.
If you go into Global Settings, along the top you will have your card/s listed, with (Global Overdrive), click on those, then Accept.
Got me that too
I don't have any option you guys suggested me. Global settings there, but overdrive option not
Try reinstalling drivers. If they are installed properly, then you should have the option.
AMD really goofed up the OverDrive options for mobility users.
There has to be a dword that can force the settings to come on.
Afterburner not be an easier option?
If AB can manage your GPU don't use OverFry.
Set a temp and clocks profile in AB and apply it.
Same card here and OverDrive is working properly but i had to accept the terms in global settings first.
Any ways to unlock this option for laptop?
Yes. You need to enable the feature in your vBIOS by editing the firmware. I did this for my 5870M, and I released it for public consumption on ASUS ROG site when we updated the vBIOS to fix a memory stability issue.
wow, thanks, great news
Editing the firmware only one way? some links? guides how I can edit it?
Am also curious.
Any other funky stuff you guys came up with?
You can use RBE to edit the vBIOS, there's an option to enable Overdrive. Just save your existing BIOS to a file, load it up, make edits, save, and flash back.
I use a USB stick that boots to DOS for my flashing jobs.
Sapphire Trixx 6.1 came out recently...
Funny how the installer still says beta
