    They are engine shots, but the engine renders it and applys post Processing ie AA/AF to the picture to make it look ****ing awsome

    Dunno it only takes a few secs to make one to short to see anything.
    But during normal play its mostly between 20-10fps on a 1280x960 res.
    Of course not with that kind of quality as shown above :p.

    thanks for sharing, that was a nice vid :) funny as i havent seen that much quality either in XP forced very high or in VIsta very high settings :( maybe the final game looks better?

    Mess around with Brightness and Contrast and lighting settings in console. But this sometimes I have to change setting per shot,

    In the editor my settings get reseted everytime I close, but to help you on your way:

    Tweak brightness and contrast in nvidia control panel.
    For more lightrays and such tweak these settings (default).
    r_BeamsDistFactor=0.05
    r_BeamsMaxSlices=200

    for lighting tweaks use.
    e_max_entity_lights
    r_Glow
    r_GlowScreenMultiplier
    r_GlowScreenThreshold
    r_HDRLevel
    r_HDRRendering
    r_HDRType

    For tweaking brightness and contrast in editor use.
    r_brightness
    r_contrast

    Just mess around with those that's what I do everytime, good luck. (hope I got em all :p) Don't forget to just experiment yourself I swear it will lead to nice results.

    arent these values default for very high?

    r_BeamsDistFactor=0.05
    r_BeamsMaxSlices=200

    errr. what OS are you using again?
    im more interested in the balance of lighting though (brightness and contrast) as your shots look very "cinematic" :)

    so does anyone think there is a way in the future to nake the game look this good? i know no one has hardware capable of playing this at this quality but there must be a way to force it!

    You can also change the contrast brightness in the "time of day" editor at the bottom. Lots of options.

    Bad textures at distance :(

    So when the 10 series cards come out and we all have a 3,840 x 2,400 LCD Monitor.
    And 32nm 8 core cpu's and 16gb of ram, we will be able to play the game like that.

    It makes you think though what will games look like then.
    Remember Far Cry, at the time it was the most realistic game around. Nobody could play it maxed out. No we can but Crysis looks better. Crysis 2 should be ultra photorealistic.
    Seen as we'll be going from 1mp to 9 mp(3,840 x 2,400):O
