I don't think there is a one size fits all solution to this unfortunately. Afterburner wouldn't fix my clocks for some reason yet this one did. I suspect different configurations of hardware/software produces different results.

Until AMD fix this and allow us to turn powertune off, the main thing is finding SOMETHING that works for each of us. The more options the better.

Ok. Thanks for all help. Hopefully AMD will solve this as soon as possible. Maybe some hotfix would by nice, but I'm not too optimistic about that, but still hoping. :)

I can't oc my HD7870 in new Radeon software, I setup desired clocks and after restart only memory clock stays the same but all the time in 2D & 3D. This is on Windows 7 SP1 x64.

Guys, what is this talk of bad Crimson release & AB not locking core clock speeds ??? :3eyes:

    I am running Win10 x64 home (TH2), AB (final) & Crimson...

I have no fluctuating core clocks or mem clocks what so ever...

My rig specs are to the left...

FYI : On Beta 15.11.1 (catalyst) my card OC'd to 1070/1570 @ +50% only (locked clocks stable), any higher clocks, regardless of voltage would artefact :bang: ...

On Crimson release my card is now running @ 1130/1680 @ +50% +63mv (locked clocks stable) max gpu temps are 74 deg C.

For me, AB n Crimson is working better than AB n Catalyst ever did for me (AB n Catalyst worked great for me btw)...

Sooo, I think the issue you have is OS/card related as opposed to AB/Crimson related... I could be far off the mark but some how, I don't think so given my faultless switch from catalyst & perf improvements since moving to Crimson...

Stay breezy n Be lucky... (hope you get it sorted )...

    Peace  ...

@ReaperXL2, i had fluctuating, more like just keeping low, gpu clock in ac3 but this game overall is piece of trash and should be doomed. I've noticed long time ago odd hitches in crysis 3 in mp, after little investigation i noticed clocks are jumping like crazy while these hitches so i tried with setting power limit up and this fixed my problem.

That's because you are not using a R9 Fury and/or FreeSync. It's definitely a driver problem.
