This has a sharpening shader right? Might be useful for that when forcing AA, as long as it doesn't interfere with it like using Reshade does.( Or even the old sweetFX in some games)

Does the DOF hook into the depth access of the game or is a simplistic effect?

Too bad you can't add your own shaders, change the order, etc like ReShade and get the benefits of it being driver optimized. (Or as above, not interfering with forcing AA)

There's nothing driver optimized. It's Reshade implemented by Nvidia Experience with a subset of limited shaders. It's great for newbies, but otherwise just use Reshade. DOF limitations are the same, because it's the same Reshade.

Most Multiplayer games started banning reshade.

Er, no. Only two to date - PUBG and Squad - both recent. Everything else works fine. From Marty:

"PUBG devs did NOT say they blocked ReShade on purpose, they merely stated the new anticheat measures could affect ReShade (which they don't, I can still use it just fine).
One random game magazine merely interpreted it that way (most "journalists" are morons there) and as they all copy content, the tale of PUBG blocking ReShade spread everywhere. So yeah, SQUAD devs read this and consequently blocked ReShade."

Reshade disables the depth buffer in online games specifically to prevent it being used to cheat. This carries over to Nvidia Freestyle too for the same reason.

I got this working again on "unsupported" games.
Rename the exe of the game you want Freestyle to work with.
Use one that is from a supported game.

    i.e. AVGame-Win64-Shipping.exe (Vampyr)

Of course some games might not run if you do this.

Why restrict it on some games if it CAN work...?

Because they can't guarantee it, and a bad result = bad experience, bad press.

Again, just use Reshade. It has more options to configure, but this also means you can get it working where Freestyle won't.

It's an overlay just like Reshade, and should work on almost any game.

Maybe Nvidia gets paid for making games supported, just as adding them to Geforce Experience and make them "supported"?

Why else would they restrict this to only a few games? And hide the option we had in Nvidia Inspector.

By renaming the exe you achieve the same thing. So that makes me believe there is still a hidden flag somewhere in the drivers.
