Hi people! I have XFX 8600GT 540Mhz 256 DDR3 with standart cooling! Without any bios mod I manage to keep these overlocked settings core 710 mhz / shaders clock 1680 mhz / memory 860 mhz Idle temp 52c / load temp 75c Do you think I can go further or should I change my bios ? What are you best clock for this chip ? 3dmarks with these settings : 3dmark 2003 - 15800, 3dmark 2005 - 8300 CPU used AMD64 3800+ / DDR2 667 4-4-4-12 DUAL Channel A-DATA
with rivatuner you can o/c the shaders. I have an ECS 8600gt and the most i can get out of it is 670/1450/860 also i dont see any point in modding your bios when riva tuner will load what ever clocks you set on startup anyway
I have an 8600gts running @ 730/1836/1100, OC'd with RT. When you say you can't go any higher, what's stopping you? What happens? Artifacting? BSOD?
you have the gts which has a pci-e power connector, the gt doesn't and so it cant be oc'd as far as a gts i know i get artifacts if i go over 680 on the core or 865 on the mem
