I am not familiar with UK voting law.
How is your eligibility to vote verified if not by ID?
If you think I'm propping Trump up you are mistaken. I don't care for him or Hillary. You want to talk about flirting with racist look at the DNC. BLM everywhere in there.
At least some states (I don't know about all of them) require you to obtain state issued photo ID to even register to vote. My state charges $10 for a state issued photo ID, which is required by state law to have anyway.
In today's news:
"WASHINGTON A U.S. appeals court on Friday struck down a North Carolina law that required voters to show photo identification when casting ballots, ruling that it intentionally discriminated against African-American residents."
By the way, my father was a member of the KKK.
Suppose that isn't much of a barrier, even for poorer people.
Here, you just give your name and address.
No ID needed, but you can't vote twice and claims of voter ***** aren't as common.
Enjoying the fact this thread and even the Brexit one remained civil and unlocked.
Also handy for me as my coverage of this is mostly from Bill Maher's Real Time show.
President Trump? all bull**** aside, thats pretty scary.
Ever play bridge or Oh He||? Trumps are good; beat everything. Joking aside, both scare me equally. Think it is time to dig up Ross Perot. He ran quite a good independent party campaign.
EDIT: Voted for him back in the day
It will never happen. I can't imagine people are that stupid. The most common argument I hear is they will elect him because they would rather pick the person who is easier to get rid of later if it doesn't work out. It doesn't quite work that way folks.
How the heck do you do your banking an stuff with an 80's ID? Y'all got some good facial recognition over there....
Edit: ^ ..../ lol
True story, 11 years old, big sleepover, I got the ace through 8 of spades dealt to me, [playing spades] my grandmother comes in and shuts the whole party down.....
hahaha^ you got my luck...
Anybody that would vote for someone who is the subject of multiple federal investigations as well as the most blatantly obvious corrupt politician in history is an idiot.
If you plan on voting for Hillary please choke yourself.
Other than a blatant moron on the other side?Subject of investigations that 90% were partisan politics at work.I think you already choked yourself lol
why would you be scared of nukes? we wouldnt be the ones getting bombed
my problem is, None of the candidates are worthy because none have a prior Military service. If you want to run a country, you need to know how to run its primary defense. especially with the east trying VERY hard to infiltrate and subdue us.
ANDDDD in my honest opinion, unless you served in your country's military, you just wont respect your homeland like a serviceman/woman would
Ahh ok. Thanks for that, I hadn't thought of it that way
I suppose that's the thing with a presidential system - it ends up that you're essentially voting for a person instead of a political ideology.
Our system is basically the same as yours, but you register to vote based on your address. You add your name to the electoral roll, and you get a polling card with your name / address on it - you need to show this to the poling officer when you go to vote. Homeless people can register at a temporary address (such as a shelter), or declare they have a local connection and register that way.
So yeah. If you're homeless, I imagine it's quite difficult.
Apparently he doesn't live on this planet..
Trust a war monger-er with nukes or an inexperienced man who will certainly be well counseled with nukes. Somehow one is supposed to be better than the other.
Trump will not cause a nuclear incident. If anything hawkish carelessness when dealing with North Korea or Russia is more likely to cause something. Especially in the latter case with the encirclement going on. Then there's IS and Al Qaeda getting their hands on nuclear material. Somehow Trump's responsible for that too.
Not really a fan of Clinton and dislike Trump, but the second Trump picked Pence, it made me lean towards Clinton. Pence is a religious lunatic.
riight... that famous vacuum strategy when you're concerned only about your own moves
