AC2 was garbage, my pc at the time could not handle ac2 but alot of longtime players went to ac2 when it came out and quit pretty fast. still puzzles me how turbine could have gotten ac1 just about perfect and took everything out that was great about ac1 for 2.

and ya between quake 2 and AC i had alot of 3 4 hour sleep nights going into work the next day, but i loathed my job at the time so i did not mind being half asleep for it.

    My first MMO was neocron.

It was by far the best MMO I played. Awesome setting, awesome gameplay.

The only problem with it was that starting off was incredibly confusing and boring. However, once you got to higher levels and could pvp, it was incredible. Best pvp of any MMO i have played.

and alot of the long time neocron 1 players hated neocron 2. they should just update the graphics and gameplay of the 1st if people like it like they do for eve who never talks about eve 2 just what are were going to do with eve o and keep adding to the game rather than trying to remake it.

.... can't believe nobody else here yet has played RO as their first MMO, or even at least mentioned it.

My first MMO was FFXI, enjoyed every minute until a very good friend of mine stopped playing. Sad part of it all is I haven't heard from him since, and have not been able to contact him at all.

Had a lvl 69 Dark Knight, and enjoyed it. Now I jump between WoW and LotRO.

How do you guys see Diablo and Diablo2 as a MMO? You had a fixed number of players per game, so the massive in MMO already is untrue.

FFXI was my first... I loved it so. I was actually thinking about resubscribing but I cant remember my username and password. I had a 75BLM/37RDM (with lots of other mid level jobs that I cant remember) Tarutaru named Kykmi (pronounced Kick me).

I played WoW back in the days of Molten Core being the greatest instance evar... then stopped. Played LOTRO for a bit but that sucked. Tried Guild Wars and cant remember what I thought of it. Also played Age of Conan for a bit and I actually liked it quite a bit. I stopped because I was doing too many military courses and had no time. Went back to WoW and after I got my epic flying mount my account was hacked because of my sister (sigh) so I stopped that too.

Finally I started playing Age of Reckoning and I love that game, but took a break for the army again. I have a 2 month subscription card that I havent used yet, and will probably do so once I have some time.

True, its more like an -MORPG...

If Diablo 2 doesn't count, my first MMO would be EVE online.

Well, Diablo was an online RPG, just not in the sense that some of these others were. Anyway, I guess it was technically my first.

But Everquest (about the time Kunark came out) was my first true MMORPG. It absolutely without a doubt knocked my freaking socks off. I got into it because of a roommate, then I told my buddies at Best Buy where I worked at the time about it and EQ spread like a freakin rash. I must have gotten 6 guys and a few customers hooked.

It's all we talked about lol. One night one of the guys almost had a wreck, trying to get home to meet us online. hahaha

Played TONS of MMORPGs since and finally gave up. Nothing will ever quite do it for me like EQ.

    Runescape.

Sad as it is to admit, Runescape made me who I am today. Possibly the best memories I can think in video games.

It was then Guild Wars for several months (lasted for several months before I went back to Runescape) then Lord of the Rings Online, then World of Warcraft and then WAR.
(not including the amount of times I tried the WoW trials!)

Don't play any MMO's now though.

I don´t post much here but since I's a MMO fan...
My frist ever MMO was Kal online. My first ever RPG game was Diablo 2 back in 2001, before that I didn´t play any RPG games at all, online or otherwise but in the year 2000 I played a simple text gfx gamec alled ADOM (Ancient Domains Of Mystery) until a friend of mine showed me Diablo 2 which I played for 2,5 years. The then the same friend suddenly disappeared from Battlenet and 2 weeks later he showed me this game Kal Online. Been playing many MMO's since and yes, I tried Ragnarok Online but didn't like it much. Now I play 3D MMO's only. Still waiting for Diablo 3 though, which might get mr off my MMO wagon.

Hmm, first MMO I ever played (and the only one, besides a 10 day WoW trial) was Anarchy online. That was back when I build my first rig in 2003 I think...
