How many of you could remeber the first mmo you played?

In my memory Fairyland online was my first fun mmo game... It was VERY VERY popular 8 years ago and it still is. It was the most epic mmorpg I played in my childhood. And its still my favorite now after many more years of mmorpg playing.

I can't tell you how many hours I played this game... countless. Not once did I have an issue with a 12 year old who was having a bad day, ready to ruin the world. Mostly "adult" players make for an extremely fun play.

 

Ultima Online: Age of Shadows
My friends still play it.

 

First MMO i ever played was Earth & Beyond.

 

There was one thats too embarassing to even admit to playin to for a time, but my fondest memories are definately not with it so i will go with what my first REAL mmorpg was.

Final Fantasy 11 online was fantastic when it first came out i put many hours into it and enjoyed it until WoW came out.

Tried World of Warcraft on the 10 day free trial, uninstalled it after 2 days. I am not a fan of MMO's. Waiting for one that is not a grindtastic spam loaded waste of time. I am looking forward to trying the new Star Wars MMO, I know I will most likely uninstall it with in 5 or 6 hours, but the dev's say it will be different. I can only hope.

T4C (The Fourth Coming), WoW and Lotro.

WoW being my best memories ANNND my worst memories.

 

WoW was my first mmo, played it for over 4 years. I had my moments in it, especially in vanilla. Quit the game some months ago though, and I'm definitely looking forward to KotOR online. :grin:

 

the first mmo i ever played was a game called Redmoon Online. It was a korean mmo based on a manga.. was pretty fun for a couple years. ahh those 48 hour weekends all day/night lvling lookin for uniques.

 

The first and only one I've ever played was DAOC. I quit playing after six months or so.

mom was in the beta for this, and she let me have a avi in-world to play with, i was a little kid, it was awesome

 

I think Guild Wars free weekend, got bored and uninstalled.
Then WoW free 7 day trial, 25 hours (or was it 24?) in 2 days and got bored.

The first one I got hooked into was Dekaron.

Then LOTRO free trial and it's the first MMO I have bought.

 

Earth & Beyond. I remember playing in the beta, and then a couple of free trials. I remember liking it a lot, but it was before I had an income, so I never bought it. I sure wish it was still around.

 

Easy for me. None. Not interested.

 

One and only, Lineage 2 .

 

I lost my virginity to SWG was there the first day on launch and crash of the servers, and next launch day a week later I remember when after playin the game for weeks someone told me that the planet I was on was just 1 planet of many you can explore O.O! So many good memories of waiting by a player made camp fire healin our wounds waiting for the dead people to return to our group just talking, sharing stories, and dancing good times!

 

easy for me to recall since i dedicated near 5 years to it and still one of the best mmo's i ever played period to this day.

asherion's call, with the dev run events and characters, 6 month story arcs, epic feeling to the event quests, notority for being the first to complete an epic event arc, world changing events, and the almost entirely player driven economy.

it was the first and still the best imo since it seem many mmo teams just got lazy and script events and bland or condictaory lore, plus i never saw an mmo other than AC where the devs would play a major story arc character like the god of war in AC and go around pwning other players.
