How high have you o/c'ed your stock 6800 (non-GT/Ultra)?

I seem to see lots of 6800's (non-GT/Ultra) w/ very high overclocks... but what I haven't been able to confirm is if they were all done on stock cooling!

I have o/c'ed my 6800 OC to 375/780 speeds but wasn't very reliable as it seems to heat up the core and memory beyond stability... so what are your highest STABLE overclocking you've reached on STOCK cooling?? Thanks in advance...

I'm especially interested in BFG brands... but others are welcome! :D

400/800 with both vertex and pixel pipe unlocked, there were some artifacts on water and shiny metal things but i didnt realize that until later, so i ran some benchmarks and turned it back to stock. it was stable the whole time except for the artifacts and yes im was using the stock cooler. for awhile i had it overclocked at the speed in my sig, but not anymore cause its starting to get hot where i live.

right now i just have the vertex pipe unlocked @ stock speeds, because my pixel pipe is broken and it would crash splintercell CT :(

I got no artifacts during 3Dmark03 but I did in certain games which required a boot up.

Same with Smoke, I turned them down to stock speeds and its good enough for most games out there right now.

I hit about 410/1110 on stock cooling on my gt. Although when I stuck on the artic silencer I can now hit 440/1180 (anything higher would require a volt mod). I must admit I normally play games at either stock clocks or max ultra clocks as I don't find high overclocks beneficial.

I usually keep mine at stock speeds. I could only unlock the extra vertex without getting artifiacts.

Most people on here only OC for benchmarking purposes but reduce the speed for every day use. It's like driving a car. You don't always rev it to redline all the time to get from point A to point B.

Mine does 425core 925memory.I seem to lose performance at those clocks though. My card does best at 398/900.I have the extra shader unl;ocked.Thje extra quad has very minimal glitches.Like the other guy said.In the shiny parts of metal or on very flat parts. It is not very noticable. It only gives me like 1500 more points in 3dmark03.So its not worth unlockin it.

Cool!! That clock is damn high. Did you vmod or get a better cooler?

My ultra is stock at 425/1100 but I have it at 451/1200 BUT I just put on a Artic Coller NV5 Rev. 2.0 and I am waiting for the AS5 to settle in so I can see if I can go higher......and yes, I run those speeds 24/7:cool:

Yeah, like some of you, when I game, I just run stock speeds but with pipes and vertex shader enabled. ;) HL2 runs fine at 1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF! :D And that's all I care for!

You can see in my sig my unlocked and overclocked eVGA6800nu.
I run this setup everyday. No issues with all games and it's my cpu that's holding me back(to be fixed soon!)

my highest stable overclock on my asus 6800 with stock cooling was 410/920, after I installed a Zalmans vf700cu I got 410/950, I cant get the core to go above 410 tho (Id like 425)
Iv tried upping the volts to 1.4, no improvement.
I run 24/7 at these speeds.

Have you tried to change your gpu memory timing? It worked well for me and got me another 30mhz on memory oc. Jimmor, a well known contributor to this forum, is the mastermind behind this discovery. You may want to search on his name for the thread if interested.
