My wages went up because I'm a pizza delivery driver. I got an hourly pay raise and people are tipping a lot better. Apparently I'm a hero for doing my job so I don't lose my apartment. And I didn't even have to bomb a city or lose my legs! There's no way to contain the coronavirus. Half the people around me aren't doing *anything at all* to protect themselves, and even the ones who are probably slip up once in awhile. I know I have. It's hard to break a lifetime of habits. I have no idea if I am a carrier, because testing so far has been limited to health workers in my area. I've had no symptoms, but that might not mean anything, apparently. My mother is in a nursing home and got it, but she didn't get very sick from it, fortunately. I haven't been able to visit her in 3 months, though. They are only allowing visitations for people who are near death. Kind of ironic, since the whole point of stopping visitations was to keep it out of the home.
