I went from a 6600k to a 7700k and there is no noticeable improvement in most games, other than the option to add Intel optane which i dont use and an extra 4 threads which make minimal difference for me i could of stayed with the 6600k but just upgraded to my z270 board for the extra m.2 slot, one thing i will say is the 7700k is best dellided because it was very toasty before.
It depends on what games you play, for example, Witcher III makes a noticeable difference in cities or Assassin Creed Odyssey/Origins.
In quite a few games now where you'll notice how 4c/4t cpu is a bottleneck. 100% usage most of time which result in stuttering.
6600K is like having having 4 condoms, but you got 8 ladies you want to have sex with.
Haha, best analogy ever.
@sverek , just sold my 4 condoms for cheap, will have to play with a lot of cores (ladies) later on.
