Hi all, can anyone explain in simple terms how to flash and update my Intel management firmware on my motherboard. It's an Asus Maximus Gene V and I'm currently running a 3770K@stock with 16Gb DDR3 and a GTX 1060.

I'm having issues with smooth gameplay in games on Windows 10 but Windows 7 seems to run everything fine. I'd like to find out what the issue is on Windows 10 as I prefer the OS as a whole. My first method of doing this, is to update the drivers and board to see if that is the issue.

Any help would truely be very much appreciated, thanks.

Scroll down to "C1. Identifying, Updating & Diagnosing Intel (CS)ME Firmware" section and read.

In next section "Intel (CS)ME System Tools" most probably you need
    • Intel ME System Tools v8 r3 - (2017-11-19)
For 6/7/X79/C600/C210-series systems which run ME v8
    • Intel ME System Tools v7 r2 - (2018-09-08)
For 6/X79/C600-series systems which run ME v7
Download each and try to view info.

But be aware that you can brick whole motherboard by flashing ME firmware.

What exact issues do you have in Win10?

Just wanted to say thanks for pointing me in the right direction. All updated now without any issues. Windows 10 running like a champ and I can finally enjoy my vast backlog of Steam games that have sat there virtually gathering dust :)
