Precisely, yet the majority of the (uneducated) arguments for its use were about SSE4 being older and slower XD

Good to see that the game is still receiving patches and optimisations.

    "Is it finally fixed?"

No. It's not. Mouse control is still atrocious. Tried it for 5 minutes. Completely unplayable. It's fine with a controller, but unfortunately I am not able to get any enjoyment whatsoever when using a controller for games of that nature (meaning anything where you can look around freely.)

How a multi-billion corporation like Sony cannot hire even a single programmer who knows how to program mouse input just boggles my mind. Zero quality assurance. How can such a big corp not have any QA in place? It's just... unbelievable.

Wow that 1060 increase, nice. Still slower than the rx580 tho. :p Game seems fixed on older nvidia cards.

As soon as you move the mouse, it's all for nothing. I get for example 100FPS here on a 980Ti. But when I move the mouse to just look around, it's a huge stutter-fest. No dropped frames or anything. Still 100FPS with a perfectly flat frametime graph. Just huge camera movement stutters. Really unplayable.

Idk i finished the game long time ago. Patch 1.04 i think. It was fine here. Disable mouse acc, use adaptive sync...

The game does not allow you to disable mouse accel. No setting. Tried with all sync methods. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. It's the animation timing that is completely bugged when using a mouse.

Oh. I found the problem. It's... RTSS

Mouse input when RTSS is running results in huge camera stutters. Weirdly, when panning the camera using an XBox One controller instead of the mouse, then the problem does not occur. When quitting RTSS before running the game, the mouse camera stutter is completely gone.

Huh. Who would have thought. It's the first game I ever played that does anything like that.

Anyway, the huge mouse lag (some form of heavy "mouse smoothing") is still there. Why the heck do game devs think this "feature" is something PC gamers want?

The pcgamingwiki page says it has no acceleration, i imagine your card is buckling under the strain, i guess it's not as user friendly with the image options as something like rdr2.

It's not exactly "acceleration". It's this extreme "smoothing" thing where the camera lags behind your mouse movement, and also keeps moving for a fraction of a second after you stopped moving the mouse. It makes the game's camera control feel like a boat.

It doesn't have anything to do with GPU load. Even when trying 720p with all settings to low and GPU load of barely 20%, it changes nothing. The game just hates people who want to use mice.

Well, some games hate external limiters a lot, and stutter more with them, but I've come across issues like you describe only one or two times. Thanks for sharing!
