I watched the clip and I'm forced to concur, that man should absolutely be working on radio! Or possibly voice-acting. Lovely story overall, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Are you saying someone who steadfastly refuses to do anything to support themselves doesn't deserve homelessness? This guy is obviously not that, though I think he could have done more. All he really needed to do was walk right into any radio station and start talking. Even if they didn't hire him, word would have gotten out, quick.
He said two years, and during the interview the guy definitely seemed lucid, so, maybe, just maybe. Hopefully the new found fame doesn't overwhelm.

People have no lives or common sense crapping copyright claims to youtube to take down videos like that. It's never in their favour, it either ends up causing no gain to them or actually causing loss.
Maybe the guy who took the video sold it to The Dispatch? If you take a picture even in a public place you still have rights over the image. You can sell the image and the copyright.
That's probably true many times and it's been reported many 'leaked' videos were actually done by the companies to generate buzz.
