Here you have 8 new screenshots of Unreal Tournament 2007. Some screenshots may look familiar, but they're new.

pics are superb... but why only malcolm? they should give us other models. :) I'm sure this game will eat our rigs for breakfast and won't even be satisfied.

after watching the tech demo months ago, I'm pretty sure your rigs will be fine with the way they've engineered their texture processing.

Honestly, these images don't seem that advanced. This really looks like anything that the Doom3 engine can produce. Now before you flame -- the Doom3 engine is old and I am not trying to compare features, but as far as these images are concerned, the main differences are more polygons and high-res textures, meaning that you could produce these with the Doom3 engine.

look at the shadows in the 4th screenshot. They actually overlay and become darker. OMFG this is going to kill my PC

I think that all development houses should ALWAYS include an FPS counter when releasing screenshots. I mean, take Morrowind for example, a 2002 game that runs at 39fps in most places on my 2005 Rig. How can the developers even get decent FPS now if the Hardware is not available yet. Fine they could Buddy up with Nvidia or ATi but to know 3 years down the line what would be available is a bit stiff. Bloody next-gen consoles... gonna make us file for bankruptcy (spelling?) only cause we are loyal to the PC.

    Looks impressive by the way...

If I recall correctly, Doom3 engine has a bit of a problem rendering more than 4 enemies or so at the same time, without bringing your system to its knees :D
And a little over a year is not old for a graphics engine. Look at the life span of the Quake3 engine, a lot of great games were developed on that one...

the doom 3 engine has no such issue. Look at Q4 multiplayer.

Had anybody seen Enemy Territory: Quake Wars? That looks even more amazing, and it uses the a massively modified doom3 engine..... Apparently John Carmack, has developed amazing compression techniques enabling massively hi res textures using very little video ram.... The game looks stunning.

Oh man, I just spent $1600AU on upgrades last Mth so I could play the new games to come out over the next 6-8 mths at there best, just to see that I need to spend another $2000 to play this :(:(

My wife is going to kill me.

I guess though I will be happy to get 40ish FPS as long as I can have all details at max and atleast 8xAF.

Just thinking then, I dont think the PS3 and Xbox 360 could even touch this kind of detail . I mean the version for PC, to run this game I would imagine you'd want an X2 3 gig CPU and I would say at least 2X 7800GTX 512 (SLI ) and 2 gig high performance RAM min, or the new NV cards to come out in FEB ( or when ever )

I dont think the PS3 or Xbox 360 has this kind of RAW power let alone 2 gigs of DDr 2, something like 1 gig of GPU ram ( if you run SLI ) a dual core 3 gig CPU. I could be wrong, but I honestly cant see these super console coming anywhere near this kind of detail.

There's a lot more stuff going on in those shots that the Doom 3 engine doesn't have. HDR, offset mapping, soft shadows, self-shadowing, bloom etc

That game is gonna kill my system. You know it will require 2 Gig of memory among other things. It will easily bring by 6800 GT to its knees.
