    Lol, that is some ****, i mean, a GTS 240 or a HD3870?
It will work anyway for ppl with C2D and C2Q. Example: GTA IV

^^ That's the recommended for Final Fantasy. The OP is posting the minimum specs.

The game is probably horribly optimized just like GTA IV

Emmm, the specs that blenser posted are the MINIMUM. Not the recommended.

Edit: Lol nhlkoho beat me to it.

Also, remember that a i3 is no near fast as a HighEnd Core2Quad or even a highly overclocked Core2Duo. So, **** the developers.

Core i3 CPUs have 4MB cache... a lot of Core2 Duos & Quads have 6 and 12 MB cache... it's recommending the lower spec Core i range CPUs.

Those Crysis recommended specs are crazy. When that game came out even the highest end machines couldn't play the game. They must mean recommended to play the game on medium settings.

I prefer them to put it like this, at least they are being honest, and not fooling those with low specs machines into getting it.

Most games use the minimum as the lowest you can start the game up with, with no regard to the performance you get.

These developers are probably listing the lowest spec you can play the game on low settings with good performance, i really doubt the game will be unplayable if you don't have 4 cores, or even threads.

I have this game on Preorder, so when I pick it up next week I will do a test on my lower end PC's here and see how well these are accurate.

Blur, also by Bizarre Creations, was an unoptimised mess on the PC and I never could get it to run smoothly without hitching rearing its ugly head. It's for this reason that I've staying away from this James Bond game until I know that it definitely runs OK. After loving Bizarre's games on the 360, especially PGR 4, I was gutted at how poor Blur was on the PC. It was almost like they made the game out of obligation and didn't really care for it that much.

Yes I agree, that was one of the real bad ports this year. It seems like developers dont have no pride in their work anymore, they just care bout money, not that they do great products. This is why so many people love ID and Blizzard and Capcom, they seldom release unfinished "unoptimized" games, and if they would, they would fix it asap just so fans dont get angry. If more developers had that attitude, we would have less of these bad console ports.

    this..
the recommended specs aren't high if you ask me, comparing with other ones out there that are outrages..

i agree that the system recommended doesn't make sens, cause the game doesn't look that good..it's just awful optimized.

I thought Blur was fine, didn't run as smoothly as Split Second did at the same framerate, but game ran scary smooth for such a low framerate, but there were no slowdowns.

Still not one of the better ports though, so that has me worrying about this game, and since its probably a direct port of the 360 game, its probably optimized for at least 3 cores.

I'm curious to know what Intel is getting out of this. What is the developer getting out of this? Shady backroom deals are the name of the game. We already know hardware manufacturers work closely with developers especially if a product is expected to be fruitful. CPU's don't have the same six month turnover rate they used to back in the day. I've had my Q6600 going on three years now and haven't even given the slightest thought to replacing it. Maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist but I think that's a good thing in today's economy. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if there's something on the table requiring I-Series be slapped on the title.

yea but also not allot of people had 1920x1200 reso back then and some over the top amounts of aa (8xaa at that reso lol), no wonder it will choke even on today's gpus.
