A German mag quoted Valve today that they will sell the HL² add-on Aftermath for $12.95 through their online distribution system Steam. (Link)
IMHO, I think that's a really nice price for supposedly 6-8 hours of HL² gaming. I don't think much of Steam, but if it brings down the software prices, I'M all for it!

8 hours official. I suppose that'll mean about 4 hours of actual gameplay at most.

If they decide not to accept Maestro card on Steam then I will not be able to purchase this and DoD:S. It's their loss I suppose.

Yep, it was Lost Coast that was supposed to be free. What happened to that, anyway? It was a big hype a couple of months ago and now nothing came from it. So much for Valve caring for its customers. Anyway, I think 13 bucks really is a good deal for the add-on, no matter how much actual game time it'll bring. Usually add-ons are about $29, so I think less than half is a really good deal!

Sorry dude, but after dealing with a STEAMing crap of software and waiting hours to unlock the game that I bought and paid $54 for in the store, all I got was the same multiplayer that I player 5 years ago and a disappointing sequel to one of the best games ever.

Personally, I swore that Valve will not see one more dime from me. They may pwn you but not me.

What the hell is the problem with Steam?

It's never given me any problems at all.

they blocked my account and would't tell me why, and blamed my internet connection, even tho i had tried a number of times at loads of different places, they said perhaps all the internet connections were broken, they never told me why, it was not for cheating as i had only played HL2 single player on it, so i have a new account now with a different HL2.

Steam was terrible on launch , but not now. Those of us migrating from 1.5 to 1.6 steam had so many problems , constantly deleting files was the only way I ever got it to run in the first few months.

As for the price not bad , but I wont be buying it. Unless it has some really good reviews. HL2 wasnt a bad game , it was average.
