Well the game is as i believe an amd gaming evolve title unless it was changed, but in any case, the performance is great and puts the amd card where they should be compared to nvidia's.

Interesting is how close the r9 380x to the r9 290. It's a bit scary for me to be honest. :(

Was watching LIRIK stream last night, he was playing the prologue and constantly saying how laggy the game is on his Titan X. Supersampling was at its lowest otherwise it would probably be unplayable.

Anyway, decent performance from both sides, they seem competetive but AMD cards are slighty faster. Thats a good thing. :p

    Great performance?¿?

    980(Ti) 50/66 fps at 1080p and Fury X 47/68 at 1080p.

There is no card able to reach stable 60 FPS at 1080p and CFX/SLI is not supported.

I know it's soon yet but "Great performance"...seriously?

on my ghetto pc: in crowds 28fps, other places howering from 35-50, average fps is probably 40-45fps. Shadows medium, AO on, af x16, SMAA, and supersampling 1.0.

Not only 780's, all the Kepler cards are left in the dust in every new tittle.

I know, but 780Ti was a enthusiast/high-end card and its gone after... 2 years? 600-800€ wasted for those who dont have money to burn.

Those who bought Tahiti and Hawaii cards is best invested money in GPU hardware in last 5 years. Look at that 290X go, its neck to neck with 980, what a card.

ye kepler actually have a very little shelf life, unlike the mighty 280X and 290X, 970 idk about, but 980 and 980TI are the only nvidia card that gonna survive long enough(Titan X too)

I am happy as long the r9 290 come on top of the gtx 970, and the r9 290x ahead of the gtx 980. And if the fury x is beating the 980 ti, that is like adding a cherry on top of a chocolate/vanilla pie.

There is why i said great performance.

This is why I ditched my GTX 670 sli. Kepler is getting old and has no shared parity with Maxwell.
I do love how AMD has done things with GCN.
And went back to red side even though I switch up on whats best when I am upgrading.
    AMD cards do age better.

While playing the beta i notice, that what keeps killing the performance are the mirros, test yourselfs.

When you look in the mirror in the very beginning when you take out the first engenner and take it to the bath room, there is a mirror there, there goes a big hand of performance looking to the mirror.

On the bar where is a bunch of people, if you notice behind the bar there is other mirror, i loose almost all the performance there looking to the mirror, if a look to the people, things are fine, but the mirrors are killing my gpu.

    I couldn't agree more.

AFIK this beta is still DX11 so i guess we are still suffering the DX11 API overhead...even on a title optimized for AMD.

Seems to run ok for me. Game definitely needs some work. I've encountered plenty of bugs so far but overall I think it will be a good game. Better than Absolution anyway.

i dunno if im gonna buy this game, looks like a bag of ****s lol
but still seems like its destroying high end cards performances.

Look at rise of the tomb raider or the division for graphics quality vs performance and you see what i mean, its like this hitman is using the same GPU power needed as those games but the game looks no where near as good.

Yep 280X and 290X are totally the best card of the last 5 years, if 970 didn't have the 3.5 issues it would be much better than them, or if 980 costed as much as 970... but seeing 290x hang with 980 at some games it's aweosme,it's only happen on AMD side not nvidia.

You don't see 780TI beats 390x on any games unless it super nvidia favored, or 680 equals 280x, with all that the best high end GPU atm is the 980TI that the only GPU of nvidia that worth something.

    My thoughts exactly.

The most powerful consumer system currently available is unable to run this at a minimum of 60 fps. How is that great performance?

We're living in the age where mainstream flatpanel monitors are stepping up to 120Hz and 144Hz, yet nearly every modern game struggles to keep up 60fps.

I'm hoping the next line of processors and videocards will hit the market soon, I wish to buy myself a new system but current hardware just doesn't seem worth it to me.
