I'm using the Warcat 7.1, but I've been having some WEIRD artifacting that has happened lately (since 6.12 I think)
I've had the same OC since I bought the card in late November of last year, and I ran the ATI Tray Tools artifact scanner for 1 hour or so then, and I ran it again today for 45 minutes with no artifacts or high temps.
I dropped my OC on the memory to 810MHz from 823.5 to see if that's the case, and I haven't gotten the artifacting again, but that doesn't mean much to me because I was able to play for hours without the issue arising, but sometimes it would happen in 10 minutes.
Also, VPU recover is still enabled in the Catalyst Control Center and it hasn't been activating.

Interesting. I'm going to give some of those a shot if it happens again. I'm not sure WTF is going on; I played BF2142 last night for a little less than 2 hours with no problems.
    Are you HIS guys overclocking?

    =============

    These work fine..
    :beam:

I took them off the HSI website..
not sure what I am missing if I don't grab the 7.1's off the ATI website:
    :puke3:

I fact, I am not even sure how to keep everything else but change the drivers out, as I just rpelaced this card in place of my old Radeon 9800 video card, with that card I just used to remove al the ATI driver files... but this download was 160 BM< where as the drivers alone are only: 13mb. The Catalyst software suite: 37mb. I guess the 160MB package I installed includes the Aother stuff like AVIVO files and other stuff?? How would I keep all that, and just install the newest driver??

I think that all of that is included in the driver and CCC package, but I'm not sure.

BTW I saw that driver on the HIS site, but it won't let me download it. I've tried for a few days, I think it's a dead link.

Ok WOW it worked tonight, but it was downloading at 2.7 kB/s
WTF HIS? Why the POS server?

I'm using the 6.12's but then the 7.2's came out today.
I think I might wait a day or two and see how other people do with them.

I will let you know how they work out. I just installed them and I'm about to play BF 2142. They replaced the 3d preview for the CCC with a static image. Personally I think it's better, but I'm sure some whiney babies may differ.

WOA don't install them. They made the image quality look horrible in BF2142, so I immediately uninstalled. I used driver cleaner pro before I installed them, so it's not user issue.
I'm sticking with the Warcat 7.1s until he releases 7.2.
