Usually I use ATI Overdrive (Catalyst 7.9) to overclock... Then I install ATI Tray Tools 1.36.1042... This tools wrongly detects my card's clock... My card have 830 Mhz Core / 960 Memory Clock... But detected as 13.5 Mhz/13.5 Mhz ==> Too slow, even for desktop operation And when I modify my clock settings using this ATI Tray Tools... I move the slider to 840/970, then click apply buttons, and suddenly a blue screens appears... It says that exception occured at ati2mtag.sys....... ******************************************************** Then I uninstall this tools, and want to overclock using ATI Catalyst Overdrive again.. So strange... My ATI Catalyst Overdrive doesn't work anymore... When I move the slider to any clock (for example 840/970), then click apply to change my clock, the slider suddenly come back to default settings (830/960)... NOTHINGS HAPPEN!!! Seems that I can't change my clock speed anymore... So I FORMAT my Harddisk and REINSTALL windows... Then install Display Driver and Catalyst 7.9 (I didn't touch ATI Tray Tools)... My ATI Catalyst OverDrive STILL DIDN'T WORKS!!! Even after I FORMAT my HARDDISK and REINSTALL WINDOWS!!! I DIDN'T TOUCH ATI Tray Tools, but WHY??? The Slider just move back to default settings, I dont understand.. I think my card's BIOS settings has been changed? Or something what? Please help meee T_T Thank you for your attention^^, ShadowIllusion
I've using search tools, and I only get this related information (sorry I'm stupid, I don't know what the keywords are >__<): 1. 2000 Series is not supported by ATI Tray Tools 2. ATI Tray Tools will wrongly detect 2000 series card's clock 3. Everything will works for 2000 series except Overclocking and Monitoring Based on thats info, I still know that ATI OverDrive (Tools inside ATI Catalyst) can be used to Overclocked my card, and don't use ATT on 2000 series... Before I install ATI Tray Tools, I can overclock my cards using ATI OverDrive without any problems After install it, Both ATT and ATI OverDrive can't OverClocking my cards After I FORMAT my HD and REINSTALL Windows, and DIDN'T TOUCH ATI Tray Tools Again... I still can't OverClocking using ATI OverDrive... So my question is, is there someone knows How to Overclocking my cards by using ATI OverDrive? I have completely uninstall ATI Tray Tools, FORMAT my HD, REINSTALL Windows... But Still, I can't OverClocking using ATI OverDrive... Sorry, I really confuse about this... Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? I think I really made the settings just like I never installs ATI Tray Tools... But, ATT has made ATI OverDrive doesn't work anymore... It has something to do with the BIOS??? Thank You for your attention, :ying::ying: ShadowIllusion
I just don't understand what you want from me? ATT doesn't support your board so do not use it at all. If OverDrive in CCC doesn't work ask ATI not me in ATT BETA forum.
I'm sorry my english is bad... I know that ATT doesn't work.. I won't use it... But as I said before, I usually use ATI OverDrive to OC, works without problems... Because I install ATT, it makes ATI OverDrive can't OC anymore... Even after I REINSTALL Windows, ATI OverDrive doesn't work... I just wanna know whether I can use ATI OverDrive again to OC my card? If yes, how to do this? That's it, sorry for all about this xD Thanks for your attention^^, ShadowIllusion
I'm sorry, but it does... Since I install ATT, I never can use ATI OverDrive again... Even after I reinstall windows... This is my ATI OverDrive looks like... When I move the slider, let's take an example of 850Mhz Core clock... The slider will simply back to it's default position (830 Mhz)... Auto tune have the same results, it will just keep going in 830Mhz, and never finish... I think ATT just change my card's BIOS Settings? Or what? I really confused xD Thanks for your attention, ShadowIllusion
Yeah, I know that's impossible... Coz ATT just affect the drivers management in Windows itself... It must be alright if I format and reinstall windows... But it's happen... Seems that my card's BIOS changed... Maybe I will replaced this card with the new one T_T @Truckchase... When I move the slider and hit "test custom clocks", same thing happens... When I press that button, it will be unclickable just 0.1 second, then the slider simply come back... Same things when I use auto tune... Auto tune fails to rising my core clock... It just getting stuck in 830/960Mhz testing clocks... So auto tunes will never be finished, because it testing the same clocks that stable... I think for now all the best solution I will replaced the card with the new one... Maybe tomorrow T_T Thanks for your attention, Hiron
First my answer to ShadowIllusion, its the new catalyst version deinstall itt and install an older version. furthermore ray adams thank you for ATT i used it al lot for my x190gt but now ive bought a HD2600xt as well and i really miss all the monitor options, so here with deepest respect for your program, could you make it compatible with the hd2600xt?
