I saw the nvision pics (the ones with games song orchestra) and i wonder what photo camera Hilbert have or guru3d staff in general.. Maybe some settings used for those indoor pics would be nice. They are very clean and nice.
Go on Hilbert, go tell him. =) I personally have a Canon EOS 40D w/ 24-105mm f/4L IS USM & 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. Hopefully be expanding to a 100-400mm L lens too, and a Macro. There's quite a few photographers out there on the forums actually.
Hey Bro, That's a 12 Mpixel Canon 450D with the simple 18-55 IS USM kit lens. ISO used was 800 and 1600 depending on light values. Shutter speed 1/80 @ F 3.5 Typically in this situation I would have used my 70-200mm L F4 IS lens which would have yielded far better results. But initially I wasn't planning posting these photo's and they really where just candid snapshots that turned out okay. So I figured it'd be nice to share with you guys.
Both of you have pretty popular models. Oh ...It's pretty popular model http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos450d/ and it's not a cheap one ... I am trying to learn photgraphy myself.I have this stuff: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilms6000fd/ After i will finish with this camera i am thinking to jump at Nikon D40.Is a cheap DSRL. Thanks guys..
saber: Why you sold the Cannon? For example i want to take low light pics and soon i will want to take stars, aurora and stuff like this.I looked over the D40 is the most cheapest SLR.Any recommandations? I shoot yesterday with a cannon 450D or something like this and at 800 ISO is impressive actually.I loved the Manual focus mechanism. So nice to use.I didn't liked the grip at all. Also this cannon have a manual white balance.I mean you can actually set the RGB and choosing every color. Also it have a big Aperture over F30.My Fujifilm F6500 have only F13 or something like this.THis creates a very nice contrast and more real colours. Also the default cannon lens on 450D was kinda sucky.Very little zoom.
Hilbert, I thought you also have a 100mm macro lens? or am I confusing you with someone else? It would be much more suited for photographing graphics cards than the 70-200 F4L IS, as focusing distance on the telephoto is much longer!
Add me to the 450D list. I currently have only one lens besides the kit lens. 17-55mm lens I use for everyday walking around. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830998028 I'm hoping to grab a hold of a macro lens soon... I'm a complete noob when it comes to photography, but I'm learning.
Yeah I have the following: Canon 18-55 IS USM Kit lens which I use for product photography, I need a little zoom. Does the job quite well actually. Canon 100mm F2.8 USM for Macro photography. And then the 70-200mm F4 USM IS L when I walk around and generic photography.
and here's me thinking my 5mp digital camera was good you guys make mine look like the Pentium 3 next to your quad-core camera's, lol I quite like photography myself, or should I say taking nice photo's. Some of you guys cook my brain with all this "IS USM Kit lens, F2.8 USM and ISO used was 800 and 1600 depending on light values stuff".....the only bit I got was the mm lens sizes, lmao If only camera's worked in Mhz.
It's not about Mpixels at all... My camera was almost £1000 and it's only a 10mpx camera. Sometimes, the more mpx the more noise you get, especially on small sensors (compacts).
even ISO 1600 looks great... I sold it because I'm moving again, and the less stuff and more money I have the better, moving to another part of New Jersey better lifestyle and GF, besides... I can always get a new one, 50D rings bells?
