I bought that sweet card a couple days ago and the VRM temps is always aroudn 58°C idle and does up to 70-75°C when gaming gpu idle around 45-47 and full laod 75-80 the gpu temp are fine from what ive read but what about the VRM temp??
I don't think your temperatures are something to worry about. However, if your VRM section does not have any heat sinks on it and if you are still worried, you could buy some cheap ones and stick them on.
How do I find my temperature readings. I'm new to the ATI cards, have owned Nvidia the past couple years. With Nvidia, it was in the drivers, but I cant find with ATI drivers. Is it a hardware compatibility? I also tried the ATI tools utility, but still couldn't find it. Thanks.
Thats normal, on my x1900xtx I've seen the VRM as high as 83°c when running ATi Tool....it stresses the card a lot more than games. Normally it's in the 70's for me when playing games and I have a well vented case. It depends on your videocard. If it has a temp sensor you can download ATi Tool to monitor temps (great program btw).
