    ok so my new drivers 1023 scored

    dx11 st = 1 418 371
    dx11 mt = 1 273 318
    mantle = 16 654 141

    1018

    dx11 st = 1 426 496
    dx11 mt = 1 300 770
    mantle = 16 895 257

    so a little bit lower than before but will see what gaming does cause that's a different story

    Looks more or less in the margin of error.

    Tested twice again and still lower. My normal mantle score with 15.4 is 18mil but now 16 mil

    Interesting. The version numbers don't change, but the actual dlls are definitely different. I wonder if they are trying different compiler options or something :3eyes:

    What you mean. I still find it funny when at work i have a r9 270x and tested 3dmark api overhead and my scores on mantle was better there. Could it have something to do with crossfire?

    When you have a piece of code that "becomes" a driver DLL, you have to compile it first.

    They might not have changed a single line of code in that DLL (hence the same version number), but they might have changed settings on their compiler, producing a different DLL in the end (hence the variance in the results compared to 15.4.1.)

    Well ok makes sense now. On 15.4 I get 19mil on mantle now only 16mil. I can even feel it in BF4 when running mantle a bit. I get some weird stutter/jitter or whatever. No the same as normal stutter but my FPS stays at 95FPS. I limit it to that to get less vsync input lag. also tried with vsync on and no FPS limit same thing.

    Exactly !

    DX11 is dead. DX12 is the future ! Who cares ?

    AMD forgive DX11 and be focused on DX12 !
    DX11 is old and slow. :puke2:

    Dont waste your time!

    I disagree so much with this post that I won't say anything more than that.

    You realize that even the Windows 10 AMD numbers are almost 40% lower than NVIDIA's, right?

    Solved? NO
    Fixed? NO

    DX11 API overhead performance in AMD drivers is NOWHERE near the Nvidia drivers performance.

    Improved? Yes.

    Only that: improved, what is very FAR to fix and solve this problem.

    This was already discussed here, the second test is bogus.

    NV is in trouble soon!

    290X 33 % faster than GTX980 (DX12)

    ....as i said DX12 is the future.
    You should be very happy about that !:)
    DX11 is almost dead.

  20. Uh DX11 is going to co-exist with DX12. It isn't designed to replace DX12. Writing a DX12 engine is way too much work for most non-AAA developers/engine developers. You have to manage everything yourself in terms of rendering and memory allocation -- things DX11 and OpenGL manage.

    You should curb your enthusiasm about DX11's demise.
