Fans made a petition:
Yeah, seen that one before. Pretty funny / scary / tin foil hat ready
Keanu Reeves said he would like to play Wolverine. And I find that very fitting. IF he could act. I love the guy, I love the John Wick movies, but the guy....lol...I don't see him pulling off Wolverine. He had to have the least amount of lines for a main character in this third Wick film...and yet it was amazing...I enjoyed it more than the first two!
Do you need a Shakespeare level actor to play Wolverine?
PS And I am sure - Danny DeVito will pull any character.
German language and its meaning:
etwas umfahren = to drive around something
and now the opposite:
etwas umfahren = to drive over something
Bitte? Bitte ....
Yeah well, context!
ps and these too
real blond in heart, fake blond on head.
In before it becomes a product and gets washed in washing machine!
Hah thought I was doing quite well moving around more and keeping active after deciding to try and shape up a bit but as it turns out some real fitness fanatic of the 1500's was doing far more and while wearing full plate.
Fascinating! Though the armor is made to carry it's weight and I'd imagine with a bit of practice it's actually not too bad (Hot summer days aside.) compared to say a backback mostly putting the weight and load on a single area such as the back.
Climbing, somersaults, wood chopping, running and dancing in full plate is still really impressive however.
The real kick though is often meeting someone far into the senior years doing the same trek through nature and what not showing absolutely no sign of requiring effort or seriously exerting themselves what so ever while one is struggling to get over this little hill or obstacle they're just somehow passing through it effortlessly (Impressive really!) but it's motivating too knowing that in another 30 some years I too might ... probably not really be on that same level anyway though some improvement is possible at least.
(And the energy burn and resulting stamina also allows for more food intake and fun of baking and coming up with little creative food combinations heh.)
...And then there's endurance but that can be trained too because the body is very adaptable in all sorts of mysterious ways!
I mean there are other areas that can be trained and other ways but I just find it entertaining thinking there's some grand master level teacher out there with some James Bond "Casino Royale" style training program for toughening up.
Way of the weeping walnuts or something, impressive in it's own right but five years of that sort of training is a bit...*drumroll* nuts.
The way the skeleton can be sturdied by the pores being filled over and strengthened from micro fractures I am aware of though this is a different form of application here.
EDIT: Camera man or probably editor sure love the repeat shot of that *single* kick too.
(One kick for science, not one kick for science and then another 10 because the first one didn't seem to do anything.)
EDIT: But yeah shaping up wasn't a bad decision at all I get to enjoy a combination of self improvement and joy of food and a bit of black comedy suffering even if it's my own struggling but eh maybe that's better anyway.
What else could there be eh probably not much for this current post, need to go through the thread too and see what wonders await since the last visit.
Well I am branching out from just video games if nothing else but trying to find other examples and posts that aren't gaming or gaming related.
With the myths around full plate knights it was quite impressive to hear about the exploits of Boucicaut and for the second little vid nothing wrong with dedication!
(Factual info of interest as well even if one might not feel like trying it out immediately.)
Damn, I can't even watch that. My poor nuts ache just imagining that horror.
Yeah probably why there's been several techniques throughout history and various tropes.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ShareTheMalePain And so on.
Fear of a cheap hit and dirty tactics and fighting and cue a number of attempts of defenses and techniques to mitigate it from meditative to tech to just well in this case I suppose just hardening up really and gradually building up pain resistance.
Even includes numerous legends such as a Norse one about a lone brave viking warrior holding a bridge against superior enemy numbers for his lord and then this one cowardly guy just goes under the bridge and we basically have Nordic Achilles only the heel wasn't the target area hit this time.
Though the Viking culture overall had a bit of a fixation on that particular part, bit of it even survived to this day although not quite to the same form and meaning as back then.
Though the same goes for many other cultures and religious symbolism and myths throughout the world and throughout the ages.
Differences and all but a cheap hit to a particular area is quite universal throughout history.
(Made for excellent humor though I would imagine through many a tall tale and a few drinks and then a few more drinks.)
EDIT: Also goes way back and ties into fashion and trends, it's not just for the modern catwalk shows.
Though the above is at least stylish (For the time period.) and probably also fairly functional as actual clothing whereas some artist and designer made showpiece is probably not going to show up anywhere else after being demonstrated by some model doing his or her best presenting whatever number the designer came up with.
EDIT: Well that's probably nearing TMI but yeah that's the thing about anatomy and biological choices and certain things ending up external.
And all the jokes and humor around it whether it's some old tale or myth, Hot Shots 2 the movie (Speaking of walnuts and all.) or other comedy source or what not.
EDIT: Oh let's just get one more video in while already on the subject.
