Im very new here so im a bit lost, ok i just use to download until i encoutered this problem, i know its not a proplem but it bothers me. Im having difficulty running Project Snowblind 1.0 I have tried running 66's,71's & 76's drivers, ima try 66.93 later,but i know its not gonna work, dunno why but the game starts up and loads veeeeeeeery slow, then it stops at the start screen with a green base, I cant run Riddick on Shader model 2.0++ cuz then my frames drops to 30,Constantine gives a DX9 error just before the game starts. My buddy bough a MSI X800 pro and was given a X800XL for the same price , he sayz nVidia makes crappy drivers,is there anyone that can help me prove him wrong!please.
1. Try re-installing DirectX. 2. Unless you have SLi, don't even try running riddick with SM 2.0++, it will kill your FPS on any card. 2. NVIDIA's drivers are ok, could be better, but ok. 1700 Posts!
correct me if im wrong but default DirectX that come with SP2 is 9c right? i reinstalled it already and it reinstalled really fast! whats the use of having a Shadermodel 3.0 card and it does'nt run on it?
Yes, 9.0c comes with SP2, but it might not have been installed correctly with SP2, this stuff happens. And SM 2.0++ isn't SM3, just don't use it, no one in the world can run it with decent fps except for 6800 Ultars in SLi maybe. If you tried re-installing DirectX 9.0c after downloading the installer and it still didn't work, all I can recommend is running driver cleaner to completely remove all video/chipset/sound drivers and try re-installing them, and if that doesn't work try reformatting.
ima reinstall Sp2, tell me is it worth running SP1 with DX9c?as for the Shadermodel,i hear u, but i wanna try upgrading my ram to 1Gig and see what it does,what i also did was overclocking the card, works marvelous, but im scared of the fact that i heard im slowly but surely killing the lifespan of the card or is the person who told me that mad?
Well, from what I know Microsoft will force your PC to download SP2 anyway. Don't reinstall SP2, just DirectX 9.0c, and if that doesn't work do the other things I said.
overclocking does shortens the lifespan of ur card, but having a good cooling solution will slow down the degeneration of the card. stcik with SP1 if possible, i get lower 3dmark05 scores in SP2
Thx for the help guys it worked i reinstalled SP2 and loaded 76'41 beta drivers boom my '05 Benchmark went up from 2600 points to 3300 Project Snowblind works marvelously and its a crazy game boms going of everywhere,but that damn Constantine still dont wanna work starts and sayz Constantine DX9 and thats it. Appreciate the help guys! Maximum Respect!
nvidia rules, except for ati optimized games, in those, nvidia is good, but u get the same fps with an ati of half the price of your nvidia.
