    Hello ,

im new at this forum and i hope i'll find help from you guys.

Like in the title, my GPU crashes when i use the turbo profile.

Sometimes when i activate the profile, sometimes when i start a game it crashes.
It also occures when i higher the powerlimit on stock settings or when i try to undervolt the GPU.

When i play on balanced mode some games just lose FPS on some effects or actions.
For example: League of Legends max settings it happens to lose alot of FPS when it comes to a fight.

I tried alot of settings and testing aswell also to do that on both profiles without any fix/solution.
No CPU,RAM or anything else overclocked.

    Windows 10 Pro, PSU : Corsair CX750 Modular 80+ Bronze[IMG]

I really hope you guys can help me out.

    Thanks in advance!

    Maestro

    Uninstall 3rd party drivers ( Afterburner,...etc).

Under wattman: set POWER LIMIT to maximum value for RX Vega (try) ..........else 50 %
    APPLY.

    --------------------------------------------

    PSU Model?

I do not use other programms except of wattman.
If i set the power limit to 50% it crashes on stock settings.
It does already crash at 25% since its the preset of turbo mode.
    My PSU: Corsair CX750.

It may occur when Your Corsair CX750 don't feed Quality Amperage (not matter if PSU is 600/750 or even 850)
My Advise is to set yourself Good UV -> Then Play Games with -5% POW
First we need to locate source of the problem -> Then we can help You solving It :D

I feel your PsU is lacking. It is a low end PSU from Corsair, no insult intended.

I saw some interesting UV you did on a thread,Well i tried to undervolt the card aswell but when i try to play something like PUBG, i only change the settings to ULTRA the game freeze and i need to hard reset the PC .
In other words i didnt got a good UV at all :/

Dont worry i thought of that aswell XD, it may be a the cause of the problem.
i bought it 2 years ago, withouth thinking about if its a good one.
Sadly i do not have a second PSU to test it on.
Any recommendation for a new PSU that works good for the LC Vega?

    Maby pick some Seasonic
    750/850 Platinum or Gold
    -> https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=seasonic power supply&bop=And&Order=PRICED&PageSize=36&LeftPriceRange=0 199

Or XFX (is made by Seasonic) 750W or 850W Gold (like mine)

And IMO when you get PSU try to find UV spot
    Vegas for 1750MHz needs 1100mv -> 1150mv
    for 1700MHz 1056mV -> 1100mv
Better the Chip better the OC UV
Also it's good to have lower GPU OC and higher HBM2 OC -> 1150MHz HBM2 is Your target :D

    Greets and take care.

First of all, thanks for the tips :)

Could you show me exactly what PSU you have? Since your PSU works properly :p

I totally agree, i would try to UV the card and set the clock at 1700MHz for more stability after i get a new PSU, since its not working right now :/

    best regards.

If you've narrowed it down to PSU issue, look at either EVGA G2/G3 or Seasonic focus series.

Some people on the web also mentioned this problem with Corsair.

I think the problem is here ; as mentioned by Embra

Just a stupid question....if my PSU is really not holding the voltage or the ampere, why does it crash on a undervolted card?
Shouldnt it work better or do i miss something ?

    Second thoughts? Good
Maby it is related to Quality Amperage .
Best for you to be sure is to take a leap and pick some Quality PSU, borrow maby?
    Test, make decision.

I think Embra may be right.

I just ordered one today, maybe i got lucky and i get it tomorrow.
I'll tell you guys if it hopefully is the reason to the problems. Wish me luck :D

EDIT: Today(20.10.2018) my new PSU came, i ran a test on 3DMark with Turbo mode and it did not crash. Good sign :D

Now i will test some UV on that beauty and see if my PSU works.

So i went for one of the recommended one "XFX XTR2 80+Gold 850 Watt", apparently they updated the PSU into "XTR2"

    ^^ Ok, Happy Gaming
and i can see you have similar to mine Vega64 XTX Modello :D
O! My Happy God -> You can have 1732MHz with 1.094mV and Easy 1150Mhz on HBM2 -> this can conquer all Games easy at 1440p

I bought it used on Ebay for 600€.
Its a Liquid Cooled Sapphire model. :D:p
if i set the HBM2 at 1100Mhz-1200Mhz with the right voltage it works fine withouth any problems.
Sadly i didnt manage to achieve any good stable undervolt settings right now
Im using an Acer XG270HU (with Freesync) on DP and a Benq RL2450H on HDMI.
But something is wrong with my system it feels unstable.
I had to UV the GPU to get constant FPS and no FrameDrops to make gaming smooth.

Games like League of Legends or Total War:Warhammer1/2 are playable aslong you dont start a fight.
Monster Hunter: World, Kingdom come: Deliverance may have some random FPS drops from constant 70 FPS to down on 40 FPS and mostly annyoing when you are fighting some NPC's.
Since Freesync limit is 40 FPS, correct me if im wrong^^
