I have two 5970s running in a crossfire on windows 7 hooked up to a samsung 46 inch 3dtv. The max resolution in the tv is 1920x1080. I read a couple of articles that say to really take advantage of the crossfire on these cards you need to use very high resolutions. Is there anyway I can configure windows so that the gpus take more of the load off the cpu without upping the resolution?

its not possible. increasing aa, af or any other option wont put the load from cpu to gpu. the games are designed in a way which cannot be altered.
