I have a single 80GB Western Digital 150mb/s SATA hard drive. Supposedly it can run at 300mb/s, but anyways, I'm using it on my asus p5b motherboard. it's run on regular ide mode where I didn't need to use a floppy to install the sata/raid drivers. My harddrive isn't even being used to it's potential. can someone tell me why?

Almost certainly because your motherboard's chipset doesn't support that mode. ;)

It's very common, but shouldn't affect your graphics that much. Load/Save times might be a little bit longer but nothing to get hot under the collar about.
