Help me understand Android

    Android has problems with something my 8 year old "feature phone" handles just fine? My wife's iPhone and my WP7 based HTC Trophy both handle brackets around the area code just fine....as does my 8 year old LG flip phone.

    They might handle it, however I don't believe anywhere outside of America actually does this as it's well, absolutely pointless, so it's probably not on the top of the priority list.
