Hello, I'm Italian. Excuse me for my English.

My graphic card is GeForce FX 5700 (asus V9570 Series). I've got a big problem: my pc reboot frequently. The error that the S.O. notice to me is: ERROR: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER. The driver implicated is nv4_disp.dll. I've installed last NVIDIA driver and last BIOS version. What can i do?

The components of my PC are:
    - Processor: AMD Sempron 3000+
    - Mother board: asrock k8upgrade-1689
    - Memory: 1GB ddr
    - Hard Disk: 80GB Maxtor
    - O.S.: Windows XP Service Pack 2

    What can I do? Thanks

The last set of drivers I bothered to get with my 5700LE was 77.77
Never had any problems with them.

    Hi ...

your problem is most likely *hardware instability*.

It`s quite funny how quickly people blame the drivers for general PC instability.

I have tried almost *all* NVIDIA drivers from the days of the Detonators (4x.xx)
up until today and never had such a problem because of the graphics card... never ever...
    and I had several
graphics cards, almost from every generation of cards Nvidia ever released.

So don`t just jump and blame the drivers.

Oh and by the way: I was just playing around with my FX 5700 a couple of
days ago, and with current drivers (for ex. 84.12) everything was *rock solid*. I even
    overclocked the hell`out`of`it.

Maybe you could help me, or point me to someone who can.

    My origional post:

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=178532

I have tried many drivers for my FX 5500 and Im pretty sure its not the drivers since I get the same exact problems with every single one.

Its most likely "hardware instability", but I don't how to go about fixing that or trouble shooting it. The card worked perfect on my old system so Im pretty sure its not broken.

    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Thanks
    -Adam
